We went there to look at the iconic view of Table Mountain from Blauwberg Strand. The beach too is incredible.Catch 22 is well positioned to enjoy the view. We tasted a combination of fish a chips, a burger and sushi.Although they took time to arrive the quality of each one was excellent and worth the wait. This visit started off shakily indeed ! Entertainer app was pretty useless. Sushi platters were ridiculously overpriced so that they were never gonna be truly half price. Service was friendly but horribly inefficient. My fishcakes were served with no cutlery, then whipped away due to a missing salad. When they returned I found them stodgy and unappetising. My wife's tuna carpaccio was measly and overpriced with some large chunks of blow-your-head off chillies. But the day was saved with 2 excellent poke bowls - hearty portions and delish ! But certainly won't rush back here....Hi Cliff. What a beautiful setting to eat delicious food! The menu is not huge, but our table of 7 all ate different things. Everything was delicious and tasty and very reasonably priced. I hadthe line fish - my meal was so bg I could not finish it. The other recommendation was the Lamb Bredie - scrumptious! First impressions were somewhat disappointing. The venue feels old and outdated, however the food was great and we enjoyed our dinner. Service was what you would expect. There is limited parking at the back, with alternative parking area within walking distance.

Had lunch in this outstanding establishment. The view of Table mountain and Robben island across the bay is truly a wow, wow experience. The food portions are excellent with great attention to detail. Would highly recommend the line fish and the paella seafood dish. Excellent variety of wines. The staff need proper and corrective training here. Each time I visit this restaurant, the service remains alarmingly poor. The waitrons cannot even assist in slight deviations from the bland menu. Such a pity as the place has potential to attract many locals to support its facilities. Itâs time the owners get involved and sort out the place.

Its the second time here we ate the fish and chips that was terribleprevious i got i piece of calamary with fish and poor service which waiter did not check up and see if everything good.we ate it .Today the chips was good but fish tasted like it was in old oil been done. when i question about it .they said that oil was put in today .with the amount of fish sold daily especially like on day like today they should put new oil in.we also had to wait for service like 10 min to get our drinks order.the second beer was hot

Called here on our last day in Cape Town for lunch, only drank there previously. Ordered the fish and chips, OMG, so nice and fresh. Staff very friendly and attentive. Will be going back when in Cape Town again.

My wife and I met a few friends here for lunch one lovely Spring day. The Damhuis is larger than I imagined and has quite extensive indoor and outdoor seating. Their menu is quite varied and reasonably priced. We all ordered different dishes and were all extremely happy with our choices. The wine list, too, was varied and reasonable but we brought our own wine and paid corkage. The service was excellent throughout. Very nice lunch!Thank you so much George. See you again soon!

I recently had lunch at Cafe Orca in Melkbosstrand, simply because it was recommended to me,I found the staff with pleasant and helpful but the food very mediocre with High pricing. I had grilled calamari tubes with a cream sauce, which was not grilled at all and tough, and my friend had calamari strips in a batter that was tasteless and also tough to chew. The best item on our plate was the bowl of crispy potato chips and the veggies. The cherry on top was our Cappuccino coffee served in the smallest cup I have ever seen, with a spoonful of coffee inside filled up with milk foam I am sad to say, I have been here, but not again. Please up your game Cafe Orca, I heard quite a few patrons around my table also complaining about their food.
