The municipality comprises the towns of Meise proper and Wolvertem (a deelgemeente), and, several smaller villages like Sint-Brixius-Rode, Oppem, Meusegem, Impde/Imde, Rossem, Westrode and quarters as Bouchout, Nerom and Slozen. As of January 1, 2006, Meise had a total population of 18,464. The total area is 34.82 km² which gives a population density of 530 inhabitants per km².

Friendly service (Hi, Piet), generous portions and affordable prices : you can't do better in Meise and surroundings in the "Brasserie" style. OK the newly reopened Auberge Napoleon is a lot posher but more expensive. Try the Angus Beef as my fellow reviewer recommended but try the suggestions, we never were disappointed. If you want to go in the weekend (e.g. combined with a visit to the nearby Botanical Garden) be sure to book in advance. Saturday is market day and parking can be a bit difficult to find.

A typical retro-style brasserie not far from the Brussels' Atomium landmark and the King Baudouin stadium. Apart from renowned Belgian classic dishes (like tomate-crevettes, filet américain, etc.) they serve quality meat and great fresh seafood (see the desk outside!). Their daily lunch (starters or oysters (!) and a main dish) is delicious and quite affordable. The service is very friendly. They have a shaded terrace which is quite nice as well.

Every time i go to Brussels i go to the lobster house last year i was there and enjoyed a lot . This year too i was there and i had some mussels and the manager David as alway is there to do a good service Definitely im going back if i go to Brussels again

We were scanning the local area for some restaurants that were pretty good on their reviews and were not disappointed by this gem! The food was excellent and the service was very good too. A great choice of dishes on the menu with superb specials. We were not disappointed!
