12/28/18@5:00pm (17:00). This place is a hidden gem in McAllen. The fish and shrimp are fried but they are lightly breaded and taste absolutely amazing!! They are known for their rice and it is very, very good, you will not be disappointed!! The service is phenomenal and the price is fair. This place is very casual, almost has an old fish market air to it. The ONLY downside to this place is, if you are a hearty eater or really hungry, you may leave unsatisfied. This attribute will affect very few but it could be a concern. Check this place out, some of the best seafood for the money in the valley!!

Il Forno a Legna is a neighborhood gem! It is a truly authentic Italian Restaurant in McAllen, Texas. You'll feel like you've just been transported to a boutique restaurant in New York City. Il Forno a Legna provides a comfortable and inviting modern spac
Although not a large place the restuarant has a nice ambiance and mannerly waiters. We had Fettuccine alla Bolognese and a large Giardino Salado. Excellent taste. Fettucine could have been a bit warmer and parmesan was not offered until we flagged the waiter down. Bread and the hot oil were really tasty. The price of the brand name coctails(Makers Mark-Tito's Vodka) was exceptional and the drinks were really good.Overall would go back again, due to taste and price. Very good.

We had a good visit on a Monday night. Usually we fear to do this since most restaurants tend to be shortstaffed which impacts in their food quality. There was actually a limited staff crew but they did awesome with what they had. Food was okay, at times with all the cream and cheese on a pasta is just to much, but other than that the drink from the bar were good, and the bread too. Once again, it can really get packed at times but there are some moments where a peaceful dinning can happen.

There is not one thing on the menu that I've tasted that I wouldn't order again. The only problem is making up my mind. My husband and I celebrated our 40th anniversary there with our kids and grandkids. Everyone was extremely happy with their meal, even the kids. The service was beyond great and we never felt neglected or hurried. I highly recommend ordering from the appetizer menu if you're not too hungry as the portions are generous. The hand tossed cocktails are amazing as is the shrimp & grits... but the moroccan salmon is a must try as well. The steaks are cooked to perfection and every side is delicious too. Can't rave enough about Pappadeaux's!!!

Convivial chain dishing up hearty portions of New Orleans-style seafood, steaks, salads & more.
Pappadeaux is a great option for fresh seafood, on a very good menu. Weâve been many times at the restaurant and always loved it, but this last time we were treated over the top by manager Ty Garza, his attention to our personal needs made a memorable experience. If youâre in the McAllen metro area be sure to visit Pappadeaux, you wonât be disappointed.
