Things to do in Marina di Lesina

We went to this restaurant in this otherwise uninteresting town upon the recommendation of our Italian friends who raved about it. They were not exaggerating. The chef is obviously very talented and cooks with passion. We started with some wonderful tender octopus and a stewed bean appetizer. For the first course, I had the pasta with bottarga which was extremely strong in flavour. I later found out that the chef makes the bottarga himself once a year. Our dinner companions ate the pasta with shrimp and mushrooms which they said was delicious. For the second course, I had the fried local fish. All the ingredients were fresh and the dishes were executed with finesse. For dessert, my son had the torrone semifreddo. It was a beautiful plate. I wish I could tell you how it tasted, but my son did not share. Instead, he inhaled it with pleasure, and has ever since reminisced about semifreddo as if it were sent from heaven. When our children became bored and impatient while we drank our coffees, the chef gave them a tour of the kitchen. Throughout our trip, we were impressed by how Italians accommodate children, and this restaurant, although not a family restaurant per se, was no exception. We are keeping the business card in our files and will return on our next trip to the region. The experience was one of the highlights of our trip.
Ottima cena a base di pesce. Più volte questa estate ho mangiato in questo ristorante. Pesce freschissimo e cucinato in modo eccellente.

Bene! Antipasti fi pesce originali e ben cucinati, primi ottimi e pesce pescato fresco. Ovviamente anguilla cucinata benissimo. Consigliatissimo

Locale intimo e incantevole. Atmosfera a lume di candela o a luci soffuse. Musica di ascolto per ambiente rilassante. Cibi sani con bassissimo utilizzo di conservanti. Prepariamo antipasti di mare o di affettati locali, primi piatti e secondi. Utilizziamo
It was our great good fortune - when hungry for lunch in Lesina - to have recorded Eleven in my scribblings as a noteworthy opportunity.Wow! Primiano and Maria (and their lovely young daughter) are very proud of their standards. If something comes to one's table, there's generally a most a particular reason it has arrived there. Their standards for quality, in source, manipulation and presentation are uniformly high and reflective of their passion and values. This is a couple totally committed to the joyful satisfaction of their guests. We began -based on mutual consultation- what turned out to be our dining adventure with two distinctive antipasti: the first consisted of three very high quality locally resourced salume and four wonderfully distinctive cheeses, I'm not one given to such procilivities , normally getting such items in a good supermercato, but we're in a totally different orbit in this context while dining at Eleven. My recall of the cheeses are not pecise but I'll take a stab: one slightly aged bufala, another a bufala scamorza as in a hint of modestly smoked, a mild fresh variation traced lightly with pepperoncini, and another creamy. Our second antipasto was a crostino with brilliant, lovely tomatoes with EVOO, pumpkin and sunflower seeds. This was accompanied by two small bowls of toppings, the first amazing marinated onion shreds prepared with orange and lemon for delicate intense sweetness, and a second a cime di rapi of the highest quality. With this dish my wife and I enjoyed two non-alcoholic local drinks, one a delightful flower of Samboca (not the anise) accompanied with a unique local fruit resembling guava but milder, and the other subtle fruitty drink enhanced by fresh orange slices and frozen of same within the ice cubes as they melted to add flavor.Somehow between the courses, I slipped in a great local brew, consisted from four older regional grains-somewhat rare as was explained to me- and so very tasty. We moved on to our primi, each choosing a homemade red wine infused orcchiette made with in a naturally creamy speck and nut trace sauce. The dish was simple but delightfully satisfying. For dessert - again by suggestion - we had a sinful but light three-tiered extravaganza of fresh strawberries, cream, vanilla gelato, grapes, pear, kiwi slices and two piccolo tiramisu, cappucino and doppio cafe. The price was excellent and modest for the experience. A great bonus is having made great friends for another life.Eleven: Very highly recommended ( and they do little tykes charmingly well for dining as well).

Well worth visiting. We stopped for lunch with 4 adults a 16 year old, two children and a baby. We all packed into this small restaurant where we were greeted by friendly staff. The fish and pasta that we ordered were excellent, cooked to perfection, as were the deserts. Service was very efficient and as friendly as you could hope for.

Pizzeria restaurant with veranda overlooking the sea
I was influenced by nice review on trip advisor.unfortunately I have to disagree. Basic overall. Basic food, basic service, basic location. Pizza is bad. Fish not too bad but ridiculous portion considered the pkace where we were. Moreover, we didn't like the temptation to chit us on the bill...the firgot that pizza was a baby one and the pasta was an half portion for the irher baby. We won't be back

We have been with my wife and an other couple, was Friday night and the restaurant was full. So we was afraid than the service and the food can bd bad. Was not like that. We received a wonderful service and wonderful food. Even the head chef come to ours table and give us some secre of his dishes, really appreciate. I wish to this restaurant the best, because they use fresh products and they have the passion for what they do.

My sister and her husband chose imperiale palace as their wedding venue, and they could not have chosen a more beautiful, elegant and delicious venue. The owner took into account that they were organising the wedding from England, and was extremely helpful and professional during the organisation. Every single guest both Italian and English couldn't boast enough about the beautiful setting, the excellent food and professional staff. The Saxo player, singers and DJ were lovely and helped make this day so special. It really was a day to remember, and people are still talking about it now. We would highly recommend imperial place.
