We went with high expectations that the place did not reach. Food was ok but the portions were not very big. Also, the way they serve the food is a bit disorganized. Service is ok and the location, beautiful.

How should I describe this... Don't hesitate to enter this established. Everything was just absolutely delicious! Just let the host guide you thru the menu and trust her recommendations. We were on a road trip thru Galicia, nod this was our best stop so far! Enjoy!!!

We stopped in the lovely little cosy bar of this restaurant which has the main restaurant tables on a terrace overlooking the sea and the bar in a cavelike room on the other side of the alleywayFriendly service and to accompany our drinks we chose a couple of plates one of padron peppers and the other steamed clams. Lovely chunks of bread came along as well to help soak up the broth from the clams. All simple and delicious. The plate of padron could have fed four but we tucked in anywayThe restaurant looked great for a bigger meal and the bar was perfect for a lighter snack and drinks. About half way along the main sea front alley way

While on Camino decided to eat in a nice Restaurant. This place fit the bill in that it had nice seafood choices. It was over budget but worth it. We had scallops in a shell that was gratinee as an appetizer along with local oysters. They were small but very sweet and salty. The shell very different from East Coast oysters but flavor was great. Shared the Arroz De Mariscos which was wonderfully cooked seasoned rice with clams, shrimp and mussels very well seasoned with saffron and other spices. Great meal with a bottle of Rioja wine followed by a local digestive...some herbal grape spirit. All in all recommended.

Our hotel receptionist at Hotel Avenida Pontevedra told us try Casa Roman seafood restaurant. The restaurant is easy to find - walk towards the old town - same street as hotel - walk under the overhead bridge- keep walk straight the restaurant is located on the left. I suspect this is a local favourite. Loved it instantly. Great vibe. We ate in the tapas room - there is a main restaurant which begins serving from 9pm. The tapas bar seems to be where people want to be. The tapas selection is quite extensive and although the menu was in Spanish- good old Google translator filled in the blanks. We started with a salad, then scallops and on to prawns. All delicious dishes washed down with excellent Spanish wines from Rioja. Including bread, 2 glasses of wine each, 3 Superb dishes and wonderful atmosphere thrown in - For only 35â¬. We particularly liked the small touch of complimentary tidbits that the wait staff offered around. I want a restaurant just like this at my front door. Well done Casa Roman - youâre a star

If you like to eat good food you have to go to this restaurant. I really like the Romasa rice that is always my main dish. You can eat seafood, fish or meat. From oysters,crabs....squids..to a big steak. You can also drink a good wine, like MencÃa or whatever you want. And the desserts are ,maybe, something you can live without but this is because when you finish with the main courses you cannot eat anything more :) I really like this place and the staff is close and friendly.

Familiar, Con Terraza Al Lado Del Mar Y Tapas De Abundantes Raciones Sabor A Marisco Y De La Huerta. Taperia acogedora para disfrutar de las vistas de la Ria de Pontevedra.
We went there to watch the football game Spain against Marocco. There were mostly local people. Afterwards we had dinner on the terrace (great view). We ordered mussels, pimientos, and pulpo, which was more than enough for two people. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was so friendly. Itâs good to speak a bit of Spanish. The menu is available in English but the staff doesnât speak English. We had a great evening there and I would come there again any time.

Have been here many times. Best for shellfish and other seafood. Fish fresh. Had turbot but suspect it was flounder instead.Continues to be a good place to eat.

We had dinner at this restaurant, which is quite difficult to find, since Google locates it on a similar address, but on a different village. We told them and they did not seem to care. The upstairs bar does not make you wish to go in, but the downstairs restaurant is well decorated and with friendly service. We were there for the seafood, a great reason to go to Galicia. It was fresh, but a little bit overcooked and the lobster rice, cooked with to much tomato and saffron. The reasonable price and the friendly cook (Paco) make up for what may have been a simple mistake, not to be repeated.

This is an amazing restaurant. It looks unassuming from the outside. The food is extraordinarily delicious and the family that runs it takes great pains to be attentive and friendly in their service. You can tell they take pride in their cooking and their service. We had the scallops as appetizers and then I had the breem and my husband had the stingray as our mains. Lovely desserts were included, as was a good wine and liqueur at the end. Highly recommended.
