On a family holiday and daughter's boyfriend wanted to have paella on the beach, so we booked lunch here (did it online sitting on the beach). Was just as well as they were turning people away when we arrived (3.30pm).Service was good, not too rushed. The ambience was perfect. We had Paella Fuerte for three, and my daughter chose the cod with ratatouille, all after checking out espitos (fish on a stick) as a starter. The espitos are definitely an acquired taste if you eat it head to tail. The main part is fine though! The paella was excellent and definitely fuerte: a really intense flavour and met the expectations on both taste and location. We drank tinto de verrano as well as a beer and a rum and coke. The latter was the only negative as we were charged €23, which on asking we were told it was the only rum and it was an XO. Otherwise, all was good and expectations met!Lovely location.Dear Mr. Gregor H,Thank you for sharing with us your delicious experience at Soleo Beach Restaurant Marbella! We are very glad to read that you and your family enjoyed our location, service and gastronomy offer, specially paella and espetos. We hope to welcome you again soon to give you another pleasant meal!Best regards,

Visited here with friends and had the most amazing meal with sublime paella. We ordered three different paella’s - vegetarian, lobster and seafood - and all were totally delicious. It was such a great find and has more of a neighbourhood restaurant vibe as it is set a little bit away from the beach. It has a really buzzing atmosphere with lots of very happy diners.I’d definitely recommend it and will visit again next time I’m in Marbella.

Strong asset of this place is the view on the harbour and the sunset.Regarding the service, nothing to compalin about, as the waiters were really friendly. The food is very good: benjenitas with miel de cana, patatas bravas, spaghetti bolognese and a paella (that looked slightly overcooked to me but this is a question of taste). Excellent cava and wines too.

We were recommended El Banco by friends from the UK. Let me be crystal clear from the start.....we like Spanish restaurants with Spanish cuisine and Spanish ambience. Were not fans of the British offerings designed to appeal to the Brits wanting a home from home! El Banco is a 100% Brits Abroad with all that that brings. The owners are perfectly lovely and extremely welcoming and warm personalities. It pains me to say that after they found us a table immediately...we had to wait 20’ for our drinks to arrive and just under an hour for a sole request of two main courses and nothing else! Two tables next to us arrived after us and we’re down and dusted before we had received our drinks and some bread. I’m sure that this was one bad example as the clients were largely very happy, there was excellent live music and a great vibe if that’s your scene. It’s not ours but that’s a very personal issue and should in no way detract from El Banco.Having said all this the food was outstanding. The owner very kindly offered a free drink courtesy of the house but we refused. We weren’t fishing for freebies just extremely disappointed that the service was so poor despite reminding the waiter about 6 times! If you want a Brit style vibey, buzzing and pretty noisy place to eat with excellent food then check out El Banco. I’m sure they won’t make the same mistakes again on super slow service.Dear Frontierman99,Firstly I would like to thank you for taking your time to write this review!I would like to re-iterate that we are not a Spanish restaurant and do not advertise as such! We are predominately British & International cuisine and serve a variety of dishes that use fresh meat and fish that is sourced locally. The fact we are located in the beautiful Spanish Aloha Pueblo obviously adds to the confusion too! We do however offer smaller (tapas like) sharing dishes for those who prefer smaller bites. I appreciate the word Tapas may be mis-leading and infer it is a Spanish restaurant, however the word Tapas literally means ' a cover' or a 'lid' and this is a common facet to many tapas origin stories. One says that, since tapas bars used to be standing only affairs, people who ordered a snack had nowhere to put their plate but on top of their glass-hence the tradition.I will not apologise or excuse the fact that the majority of our evening and Sunday clientele are indeed British, Ias well as our lovely Scandinavian friends and other nationalities, They certainly do enjoy themselves (especially on Sundays which is now become a firm favourite where they can enjoy good food, let your hair down and dance to live music! On the evening of your visit,we had been extremely busy for Sunday Late Lunch (from 5:00pm until 9:00pm) with a couple of big birthday parties celebrating and had been fully booked!Normally on Sundays we would have not taken any more bookings, however knowing you were associated with our friends we tried our best to find you a table. I apologise profusely that you had to wait 20 minutes for your drinks to arrive but understand from staff that the two large groups had just ordered a drinks round. The Kitchen then received your food order and having checked the till it was served to you within 40 minutes of being taken from the waiter. Usually on Sundays our guests tend to enjoy the whole experience and are not in any rush with their food, which I hasten to add is freshly prepared and cooked fresh to order so does tend to take slightly longer.I would really like for you to experience, if you would give us the opportunity, another evening at El Banco (maybe not a Sunday) where I think it may hopefully be more to your taste! Please by all means email me on [email protected] and let me know if you would like to visit again and I will personally ensure you are looked after! Many thanks

Me and my friend happened to walk past the restaurant and inquired about the flamenco night with one of the women who worked there (we later realised she was the owner of the restaurant). She was super friendly and not pushy at all, explaining the deal and giving us options. We decided to go for the 35 euro option which included a three course meal, a bottle of wine AND the flamenco show (an absolute bargain!!). The food was amazing, the atmosphere intimate, and the flamenco dancing and singing was incredible. They got us all up dancing at the end which was hilarious; a must do if you are in Marbella!!

Well what can I say about this restaurant except it was spectacular food. Firstly the service was excellent they were very attentive and cared about our experience within the restaurant. I especially give a big shout out to valentin for the fun, attentive and excellent service that we provided us on our evening out. Our drinks were wonderful we had everything from the wine to the cocktails for a group of 6 of us. I advise all the gin it was stunning and they had a good tonic. The wine was lovely (or so I was told from one of the ladies in the group) you will not go far wrong with any drink in this restaurant. The food.....well oh my goodness there was not a floor on the the taste, so much care has been given to the process of cooking and presenting the food. We advise the bunga bunga it was on another level, but here was not one person unhappy with the food. So big shout out to the chef. The atmosphere - low lighting, great background music, well spaced out. You are not rushed in anyway, you could relax in this restaurant all night drinking and it would be a great night. Location- it is located off the main harbour and honestly I have to say it was better, you are away from the flashing lights, mad drinking and loud cars. However, you are very short walk back to the party lights if you want to. It really depends on the night you want, alternatively you can have a bit of both. Overall this was one of the best restaurants I have eaten in a long time. Thank you for your detailed feedback on visiting our restaurant! we are very happy that you were satisfied with visiting us! We are always happy to see you again for positive emotions at a delicious dinner! Congratulations again to your birthday and wish you all the best!
