Think Ghee Roast - Head to Shetty Lunch Home. We serve 100 % healthy food , no tasting powder no added food colour. The only ISO 22000:2005 Restaurant of Mangalore. We serve Fish Thali , Veg Thali, and Coastal cuisines. Now it's been attached with BAR . S
Shetty lunch home is in easy to find location and caters to crowd who can opt for a seat in their AC, NON-AC and pub areas, which are clearly demarcated. I tried the Mangalorean Sea Food thali which serves King fish (full) tawa fry, Squids fry(Ghee roast), Prawns curry, Clams and dry fish chutney as Non-veg dishes. ALong with these, rice is served along with one Neer Dosa, one veg sabji, butter milk(small glass), tangy rasam and pickle. Quantity-wise overall its good to satiate one person's belly but I wish they give more prawn curry which was really yum. Thanks for the review

I had visited Palkhi earlier with my family and had a pleasant experience in terms of food and ambiance. This restaurant offers good Mangaloreian, Indian and Chinese food. Their Paneer and Mushroom preparations are too good, Service is little slow but overall good place to in.

Located on the airport road, This place has ample parking, adequate seating facilities in a village styled ambience, a small play area for children, friendly staff. They serve local cuisines as well as continental. There is also a take away counter outside if u don't wish to dine in.

Make no bones about it...Narayana is a local fish meal joint located in the port area. It serves simple homely fish & thick rice meals. No elaborate menu...Just 3-4 dishes. No credit card. Pl. carry cash. The fried fish options are mostly two...King fish or Bangda. Served with their unique red masala which adds a hell lot of flavour to the thick boiled rice. Saatvik food I am tempted to say.For dinner I suggest you reach before 9 pm. The fish gets over....

Giri manja attracts rave reviews but we had a different experience. I suspect the rice which is their unlimited offering, was mixed with soda to limit consumption by means of making you feel bloated with very little quantity. I had a very familiar and uneasy feeling that comes with eating at such restaurants that try to cut corners to save cost. In the interest of reputation they enjoy which would have taken decades to build, they should be careful not to succumb to such short term thinking if they really mixed soda with rice that day.
