Years of tradition in taste.Welcome to Malia Port tavern! If you love the fresh fish and traditional delicacies must see our tavern. The restaurant is situated right next to the crystal blue sea and has a very friendly and unique atmosphere where everyone
Lovely welcome, nice family and good service. Whilst the restaurant is close to a a harbour the view isn't anything special. We had seafood pasta and king prawns which were both ok but we've had better and less expensive. Not recommended.

Loved the awesome, tasty food, uncomplicated environment: a mixture of rural with chic details. The jasmine aroma all over dinner, the basil , the cucumber offered while waiting. The land shank was delicious and the fillet steak was quite good, too. Need some pepper and salt added prior to bringing it to the table, but we forgive them.During our dinner we saw that everyone requesting the bill was offered raki + some grapes and watermelon..not to us, though.. neither the tomatoes bagged to take away...Take your time here, there is a 95% chance youâll enjoy your time.

Coffee, beer, lunch, wine, dinner, cocktail next to the sea, beautiful sunset spot. Ps:View to Afentis Christos Island.
Went for a walk in Malia and found this bar at seafront so decided to stop for a drink. Lovely place to watch the world go by, great views across the bay and out to sea with the waves crashing and lapping over the rocks.Had a large beer and a glass wine-came to 8⬠so not too pricey given location.

This is a must visit if you visit the areas of Stalis and Malia. This is a family run business which opened in 1977. The food is amazing. I truely recommend you visit this Taverna, you won't regret it....5 stats from me.Michael Farrington.

The Socrates had kerb appeal to holiday makers looking for a Greek, rather than modern, experience. The owner, Adonis, was attentive, if somewhat barmy in an entertaining way. The service was good and the food was well cooked and came in sensibly sized portions - greek specialities as well as European dishes, and a good selection of child-friendly fare for the grand children. At the end of the meal we were offered the statutory free Raki and water melon. Take care. Since Adonis has to drink a great amount of Raki during an evening, he did water down the Raki. However, once this was pointed out, the full strength "drink" arrived. We were so impressed that we returned and were treated like long lost friends (with full-strength Raki). Recommended!

A traditional Greek family-run taverna which began as a little hut in 1968 (hence the name 'kalyva' which means hut in Greek). Located between the archaeological site of Malia and the Potamos beach, overlooking the sea, you cannot miss us as there is noth
Have been here a couple of times when weâve had a car. Lovely setting to eat before or after visiting the beach.

Cretan Family Fish and Grill
We visited whilst staying in a nearby hotel. We were welcomed with open arms and had a lovely meal. We asked for their recommendation and had some beautifully grilled and very fresh fish. The wine was also very nice and cold. Huge baklava for pudding.

Sergiani's has a beautiful setting on the Beach Road nicely decorated in traditional Greek Blue and WhiteThe service was good and there ae plenty of choices on the menu of traditional Greek and Cretan cuisine as well as Mediterranean and fish dishes. My wife had the beef liver and onions and I had Sardines both were delicious and had ample portions. At the end of the meal the manager came over and had a chat wand presented us with a small bottle of ouzo which was a nice touchThere is also a quirky map with flags where you can show where you come from
