Lane's Privateer Inn serves the freshest locally-sourced foods to visitors and Liverpudlians alike. The extensive menu has something to please every palate. We serve lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch. Experience the newly renovated Restaurant & Pub or step
We ate outside on the patio by the river. We had an excellent meal - I had a delicious blueberry lemonade and fish chowder (very interesting with the barest hint of fennel) and a summer spinach salad. My husband had the burger. Service was excellent as was food and view!
Motel Transcotia is just outside Liverpool and has a wide menu with all day breakfast, lots of local foods, and specialty dishes, too. The prices are fair and the helpings are big. The food is fresh and flavourful. The service can be a little slow, regardless of how busy they are. It is always friendly, though. The restaurant is a little dusty and dark, but the food more than makes up for it. Try the club sandwich and homemade fries.

This restaurant has been open about two months at the time of our visit, although the owner, Joe, used to run a previous incarnation there several years ago. A family of three adults we each had an evening meal there for our first visit. This is a diner in the basement of the bowling alley in Liverpool. It serves good, hot, tasty food with good service in a subdued, very basic atmosphere. We had a garden salad, a fish chowder, one two piece fish and chips and two orders of âchicken fried steakâ which was beef, not chicken, but breaded and deep fried in the way that chicken often is. All food was excellent and the waitress was really friendly. We strongly recommend this restaurant but don't expect anything fine dining. At the time of our visit it was cash only, something reflected in the very competitive prices. Good luck Joe. We will return.
