They were clearly shot-staffed when we were there. Though we had a reservation, it took 10 or more minuted to be seated. It took longer than it should have to order and be served. Now the good parts...we were thanked profusely for our patience, our drink orders were taken by the manager, food was being brought out from the kitchen by kitchen, staff, management, and other non-servers--a true team effort! Everyone was exceedingly courteous and friendly. And when our server finally greeted us, she didn't seem (or make us feel) rushed at all. The food was phenomenal. Their focus on fresh ingredients really came through, from their special peach-inspired menu insert, to the main menu, and the separately-printed special vegetarian menu, every item looked delicious, and what we had was. Highly recommend this place! Thanks for taking the time to leave such an amazing review! We will take note of your wait time so that we can ensure that these types of experiences are limited. We take a ton of pride in guest satisfaction and we are stoked that we were able to turn the experience into a 5-star one. We hope to see you again in the very near future.Cheers!

Our group of 6 had the dirty Brussels sprouts and the crabby fries, sprouts a little pricey at $7, but tasty and the crabby fries were excellent. Also the clam chowder was amazing. The crab Louis sandwich is absolutely delicious! Served chilled in a lemony dressing on a warm, soft buttery roll with hand cut potato chips....just outstanding!!!! We also enjoyed the fish and chips was good, but have had better. Be warned they donât take reservations; we waited over an hour on a Wednesday. Other smaller groups came in and were seated much more quickly. Since we had an infant and a toddler, perhaps I should have requested first available combination of 6 seats? So, in summary: GET the crab Louis : ) Will visit again when we get back to this area.Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review and for the kind words! We are so glad you decided to stop in for dinner with us and ordered one of our house favorite sandwiches- Crab Louie! If you ever need anything feel free to reach me at [email protected] and we hope to see you again soon!

Lunch was nice & quiet, usually dinner is noisy (something about the openness). Food was great, it was my birthday lunch - I had crab cake, fresh cut fries & green beans; excellent. My friend had fried oysters, mac & chs & stewed tomatoes; excellent and alot of it. Prices were right on. But if you want to save alittle go for early bird specials & get my meal $2. off & the oysters $4 off. My daughter & her husband had soup & sandwiches. Her husband said instead of the crab cake sandwich he wished he got the meal that I got.

Iâll be honest that the reason we will drive to Lewes from Middletown for lunch, is the crab cakes! Weâve done it many of times. Although this time we were heading down to spend a few days at the beach. Of course we planned it to have plenty of time to stop and get our favorite crab cakes ever! They are big! 8 1/2 oz of jumbo crab, lightly coated (very lightly) and delicious. Although weâve had crab cakes all around the mid-Atlantic area, these are our favorite!!! We also love their house made chips, especially when you can get them warm! Weâve also really enjoyed their fried calamari and all of their salads! As for locations, you get a great view, right off of the Lewes shopping area a street over on 2nd St. Weâve almost always been very pleased with the excellent service we receive. We donât miss an opportunity to visit!

This is not real or authentic fish and chips. I say again: this is not real or authentic. This was the worse food experience I have had in quite some time. If anyone thinks this place rates 5 stars, then any Long John Silver's deserves 10 stars. I got the standard fish and chips. It cost $10.95. Out came a small oval plate with some fries, a long thin hunk of battered fish, a lemon wedge, and a small container of tartar sauce. Let me start with the only good things: the place was clean and the malt vinegar was good. The decor was nice but I always fear a place that goes overboard on decor because usually their food is not good. You get flimsy plastic wear utensils. The lemon wedge was small and dry. The tartar sauce was without a doubt institutional, I am fairly certain it was Heinz. The fries were junk frozen and I only got 18 fries on my plate (yes, I counted them). Authentic Brit fish and chips serve thick fresh cut fries double fried, not frozen junk out of a 5lb bag.. The fish gives an illusion of being large because of the small plate. I pulled the fish apart and found a shriveled up thin piece of unknown fish inside. I am fairly certain it was cheap low quality tilapia. Any respectable fish and chips British dish uses either cod or haddock - a thick fish fillet, not the skimpy guppy this place is selling. You get about 4 ounces of fish along with 6 ounces of breading with this order. It is outrageous that they charge $10 for this tiny quantity. I could have eaten three of these meals. Take $10 and go to any LJS and you will get two better quality fish fillets, fries, hush puppies and cole slaw for the same price that will outshine this poor, pathetic attempt at fish and chips. This is not even close to being the "real thing" as some others claim. I would go to negative ratings if possible with this horribly overpriced, low quality, small portion of fish and chips. This serving would be scorned by anyone who has had authentic British fish and chips, which I have eaten. Shame on this place for putting forth such a poor product. NOTE: I was there during the noon lunch hour. I was the only person inside during my meal until two folks came in when I was leaving. Save your money. You are truly better off at Long John Silvers, which is testimony to this terrible take on fish and chips. Also, the girl working wore some type of short gym shorts that were quite unprofessional.

Wife & I dine here often and count our favorites as Shepard's Pie, Beef & Guinness Stew, Fisherman's Pie, Corn Beef & Cabbage, but there are many other excellent menu choices including their Fish & Chips, Burgers, and sandwiches.Food and Canal View are their calling cards but the service is also always excellent as is the management's involvement in presenting a terrific venue for their patrons.

We stopped here for lunch and found a welcoming staff and good service, food and plenty of beer choices. The atmosphere is more intimate than you might find in other brewery restaurants, so you can actually have a conversation and enjoy yourself. On the downside, I can imagine they get very busy and can run out of space, so plan ahead. The Hammerhead IPA is excellent.

One of my favorite spots in Lewes located near the canal bridge. Excellent food and atmosphere. You can eat outside and enjoy the fire pit when cooler weather arrives.Excellent burgers and seafood. The tuna appetizer is an excellent way to start your culinary adventure.

We are happy to find Soft Shells on the day board as even though Iâm a MD boy, I just hate the work of pulling the steamed critters apart. That does seem to be the real deal here. Most of the room had tables full of lots of big crabs in the all you can eat for $50.Turn around and we pay $29.95 for two soft shells and when I was happy with the size of them, the value just seems lopsided.Hush Puppies are outstanding and fries are ok.Our server was very good. We got stuff fast and he responded to all request. The room was a tad loud. They have no sound deadining material and the bar crowds is feeling no pain. Only nit was 6 hours later we did not feel right but it could be all the fried food as it âpassedâ. Everything was way freaking hot so I trust it was cooked right and the place does volume so Iâm hoping it would not have been old. We will give them another shot.Oh the bar did a good job on her orange crush & the bar man is a stitch.
