We chose this restaurant based on the reviews. Full marks for vista and quality of food, but very limited. 2 types of prawn off the menu - no sparkling water. We wrongly assumed all the cabanas would be similar but no. Very friendly staff.

Top reveiws brought us th this seafood tasting restaurant and after being shown to a lovely table overlooking the harbour we ordered some oysters, prawns and some of the homemade paté along with a carafe of dry white wine. beautifully presented with bread this was a seafood lovers dream. Not expensive and well worth a visit.

The woman who greets your is typically French rude, "WE ONLY SELL OYSTERS!". This is a lie, straight up. As she yelled this at us we saw shrimp going by, which she said we could have, but ONLY if we got oysters. The shrimp were lovely, but you'll need to clean them yourself and you only get six of them. Add the pate, which was nice, and a bottle of their very good wine (only white and rose) and you'll have a great lunch. Beautiful views of the bay as well. So cheap!! Enjoy!!

Friend's of Friend were owners and they opened it up for us while I was visiting. The owners are SO generous and coming from the US it's a place I've never experienced before. I've never eaten an oyster so I can't rate that, but everything about the place was picture perfect!

First of all, Emile et une huître is a really cute place, located in the calm district of L'Herbe, on the Cape Ferret.Just go for a short relaxing walk through the village, along the coast, and simply stop there when the marine air makes you feel like having dozens and dozens of fresh oysters...Far from being a formal restaurant or a proper bar, Emile et une huître is just one of those picturesque Oysters Hut you will find everywhere in this area. But what makes this one different from the others then ?Well, it serves the same fresh, tasty, generous and I-want-a-dozen-more oysters, which are grown in the area. If you're really into transparency in the fooding chain, here you are sure that the products come directly from the oyster-farms to your plate. Then, you can make the moment even better with adding one or two glass(es) of dry white wine...... add a little bit of sun, two or three hours to spare, a couple of good friends, the smiles & niceness from the staff, and you get the perfect afternoon in a great venue with a lovely atmosphere. And don't even worry about your wallet : you can fill up your stomach as much as you can without having to draw money from your saving account ! ;)

We went for lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Great setting, very simple menu, excellent service and excellent food. Choose from fresh oysters, pork pate, big juicy prawns, tasty whelks or winkles, or order a plate of each and share. Served with bread and mayonnaise. No cooking involved, just lovely fresh seafood. The restaurant did get busy even though it was out of season and mid-week, so I recommend you aim to get there at 12 noon. The owner is an oyster farmer and sells them at local markets. You can also book to go out on his boat to see him at work - something we plan to do next time.

I love oysters, I love seafood, I love dining outside and i love the water and this place is perfect to match these things together. From arrival to departure all fits nicely in the perfect place at "le bout du monde", view is amazing in high or low tide (yes, stayed there long enough to almost see them both same day :)) Ordered oysters from their own production, prawns and small shellfish, all fresh and served with bread Majo and Aioli. The little prawns from the bay with anice seeds are absolutely perfect on a piece of bread with salted butter. We just loved it and treated ourself to a very nice restaurant on a perfect lunch.

As it was our first visit to Cap Ferret, we had to try oysters! The food at this little restaurant was so fresh, as though the fish had been caught that morning! We had prawns, oysters and Cap Ferret specialised pâté with bread, as well as some super cheap wine which was very nice. The views from this restaurant are also insane!
