I stopped by for lunch at Ristorante Da Ciccio (open everyday but Tuesday). The service is attentive, personable and with a smile. The food is tasty with typical Tuscan traditional favorites. I paid only 20 Euros for table service, sparkling water, wine, a pasta starter, a meat entree and a side dish of spinach. Excellent value. Would I return? Yes of course. Would I recommend it? Yes of course.

Great restaurant in Pergine Valdarno that has to contend with its position on what looks liker a small industrial complex. BUT do go the restaurant has a very appealing interior and the menu is not just Pizza which by the way are excellent but surprisingly for the area has a lot of fish dishes. Don't drive past go in

Great view but only on a small terrace which is permanently âreservedâ even though 4 out of six tables are empty. Waitresses doesnât speak english at all and try to avoid any contact with foreigners. Prices for food are overrated and quality of food could be better.

Reading about the positive reviews of this place, and staying in the nearby A Point hotel, we decided to go here. Atmosphere is ok, host is very welcoming and trying to speak English. Design of the restaurant is open for discussion :) I liked the mixed seafood starter, but the monkfish my wife ate was not that good. I had tuna with which you can't do much wrong, so it was ok. Specialty is fish, quite uncommon in this area not close to the sea, that's why it probably got good reviews as you want to eat something different than pasta and pizza here, but we were not impressed.

Thanks to the reviews on tripadvisor we had dinner. We went for a suggestion namely antipasto mix of seafood. Both raw and warm delights prepared by the chef!! Something different then the average cuisine. Money well spend!!

It is such a pity when lovely places like La Casa del Buono, are so poorly run and spoil a potentially good dinner.We came for dinner as a group of 9 during a week evening. The place was far from being full but nevertheless it took forever to catch the waitressâ attention to come and get our order and bring our drinks. The food came out of the kitchen so slowly that by the time we got the appetizers our drinks needed to be refilled and we were all ready to leave. Although the menu was creative and the food of good quality, the whole experience is one we would not want to repeat.

This small and wonderful place exists in the countryside of central Tuscany. The owners, Claudio and Luisa, both have an incredible knowledge of local wines and foods. They are willing to prepare small meals for bikers, dinners for families and late night cheese and meat platters for those wanting to experience small vintner Italian wines. This restaurant was recommended to us. However, although it was not busy - in fact it was completely empty - we were told it was full. A group of young men were hanging around the bar and we got the impression that the waiter would rather spend time with his friends than serve diners. It was 7.30. The restaurant is huge and we could see no reservation signs on any of the tables. We were made to feel very unwelcome and would not attempt to go there again. Readers of TA will know that I have posted many favourable reviews but not this time.
