Excellent restaurant right on the stunning La Playita beach. Sit down and enjoy some lovely fish while looking out on the cystal clear waters. The staff are so friendly here and the food is delicious. We had some local fish (I forget the name) and it was cooked on the bbq and the taste was something to savour and will be long remembered. The service is a little slow but the food is worth the wait. If you are on La Playita beach make sure and eat here.

While staying in Las Galeras during the low-season, we were lucky to find "El Pescador" next to many restaurants that closed shop for the summer. Paella for two and a couple of cocktails were great on two separate occasions. The staff was very friendly and did a great job.For each of our romantic seafood-paella-dinners, we ended up paying around 2400 Peso total (around 50 USD / 45 Euro).So, not necessarily cheap, but we did enjoy both food and drinks as well as the athmosphere.One hickup here: The italian owner markets his wood fire oven and offers an extended pizza menu.The pizza was just terrible! Just very very bad all around. Italians would wreak havoc if they dined there, rightfully so ;)

Le BDM is a magic and real place, where Elena, Sabine et Jony prepare excellent salades, cocktails grilled meat and pescado muy fresco. The atmosphere is warm, enjoyable and happy, with very good music: I felt very good vibes during my stay, while eating top-quality food, drinking very well, playing ping-pong (Sabine is unbeatable) and enjoying the time together. I am grateful for that and I strongly recommend Le BDM to people in Las Galeras!Grazie mille simone, you have To come back, you re welcome.

Homemade pasta with a good taste (after extra parmasan cheese), but the portions are to small for adults. It is a lilte far out in the evening so you hat to get a transport.

Very interesting place, located on a cliff with an amazing ocean view. It is not brand new, fancy or modern ( the fence seems unstable so don't approach it if you have fear of heights:) but that is its charm and with couple of wooden tables, little library and and a sofa on the terrace, it gave me some old time feeling. Very cute. There are goats and chickens, tropical plants in the yard and it gives the local flavor as well. We didn't try food but looking at the sunset with the beer was enough for us to have a nice time there. El Cabito is easy to reach by foot, decent road with the banana trees all around.

After calling both phone numbers, leaving voice and text messages, we drove to the restaurant (not an easy task) only to learn that the restaurant is permanently CLOSED. We were told that Pierre and Vanina have opened a new restaurant in town (Las Galeras).Hello,Thanks for your review. We are sorry to read that you couldnât reach us by Phone. Normally, we use to take all our reservations by Phone or whatsapp. El Monte Azul is not closed. It just has new rules: open only at lunch and with reservation.Our second restaurant Le Joïa, is only open for dinner, in Town.Sorry to read your bad review while you couldnât judge our food and service.Best Regards,El Monte Azul
