Legendary Las Brisas has been southern California's definitive place to enjoy fantastic and resplendent coastal views. The menu at Las Brisas brims with the authentic cuisine of the Mexican Riviera and is filled with recipes discovered along the 3000 mile
Fortunately we got one of the best tables with a beautiful view, it was all downhill after that. The service was terribly slow with the waitress repeatedly forgetting our order and then taking forever return. The margaritas were decent, albeit overpriced, but the food was downright awful. The chips and "salsa" tasted like the salsa was just tomato paste, super sweet and no flavor other than sweet tomatoes. On recommendation of the waitress (I should have known better...) I got the shrimp tacos. I received the pork tacos first on accident, i should have kept those, as they seemed somewhat edible. But then the shrimp tacos arrived, and they were one of the worst things I have ever had. They were just tiny shrimps covered in the aforementioned "salsa" which was super sweet, and then some added chili flakes making them also super hot. I could barely eat a few bites. The high prices would be tolerable if the food was good, as you could argue you are paying for the location, but the prices are completely out of line with what is received. Go pretty much ANYWHERE else in Laguna for a better experience, and just enjoy the same view from the public look-out right next to the restaurant.

Driftwood is next to The Deck, and the entrance is confusing, but the oceanfront venue is great along with solid service.

Cute restaurant with shaded tables on cliff looking down at Pacific. Lunch dishes are varied on extensive menu. We had different dishes all poor to average. Sent humus back, pork BBQ was dry, fish tacos ok. Crab nachos were the best , large portion. My husband requested a table by the ocean, was told that couldnât be guaranteed. We accepted that and waited for our table, for an ok table. Watched someone who came after us be seated at an ok table and then moved to the table we would have wanted. WTF why the special treatment for others? Not ok-some sort of precedent needs to be setDear Jan S,Thank you for bringing your concern to us. Although we cannot promise specific tables during reservation, we certainly guide our hosts to sit guests at the best available table. I can understand how disappointing it can be when we give the impression of special treatment. We value all of our guests equally and try our best to accommodate requests as guests come in.Please reach out to me at your convenience to discuss your experience. My direct line is 949.376.2758 and email [email protected],Ante DapicDirector of Food & BeverageSurf & Sand Resort

Watermarc is a chef owned & operated local gem in the heart of Laguna Beach offering interesting & inspired daily seafood specials and an array of imaginative grazing plates.
We arrived a little early for our reservation, and they gave us option of table inside or waiting for our patio reservation. We decided to wait at the bar, and have some drinks (had good service from Anthony the bartender). The host kept updating us on the status of our table. Unfortunately, the table did not clear as quickly as they thought, and ultimately took a table inside (slightly disappointing) but the service and food more then made up for this minor inconvenience. We had the octopus, bacon wrapped dates, seafood paella and short ribs, all amazing! Great service from our waiter who went out of his way to help out with food allergies. Great experience overall.

Wandered in on a Sunday around noon and we were seated immediately in the front patio area. The menu is pretty simple and we decided to split the Spanish Octopus as a starter. Oh my goodness, it was so incredibly good. Very fresh salad (arugula with a lemon vinaigrette) with grilled (to perfection) octopus. A day later and I am still thinking about it. Do not hesitate to order this. Next time, I am not splitting it with my husband. We then each ordered the fish tacos. The server offered to bring a hotter sauce on the side and I wouldnât call it hot, but it brought a nice flavor to some already delicious fish tacos. We each ordered a beer and it was a perfect Sunday afternoon lunch. Eat here. You wonât be disappointed.

In town for business and Starfish came very highly recommended. We were impressed... started with delicious hand crafted adult beverages - outstanding. Loved the lychee martini and blackberry mojito. Dinner, we just shared small plates but the mussels in green curry was a standout. Donât forget to ask for coconut rice with it. Ask for Trish service was excellent. ;). Definitely will come back next trip.
