A great place to eat delicious mussels. The quality is amazingly good and the service is pretty decent. The place is quite jovial and cheerful. Their menu is quite diverse but mussels are their specialty and, as an amateur, I recommend this place.Prices are of course quite relative depending on your revenue. Expect to pay around 25 TND per person for one course. Quantities are quite generous and mussels are served with french fries.

The location is just besides the Lac de tunis, nice view, good service, yet it lacked of authenticity. It was more of an international cuisine. We tired the bruschettas with cheese and with tapenade. The funniest thing was the salad: you know reminded me of the paella where many leftovers were gathered such as eggs, tuna, parmesan... Luckily the dorade with veggies was good and so was the desserts served in trays. Else nothing to mention.Â

Enjoyed eating here twice. Fresh and tasty Tunisian food, couscous, macaroni. Wife had grilled fish. Personally I like the soup and bread that come with the lunch specials. Not strictly vegetarian but they adopted to offer me non meat meals. Might have a little fish or calamari broth in the soup or couscous.

Very nice place with a pleasant atmosphere. If you like fresh seafood this is one of the best in this area of the city. When they brought the menu they also brought a tray of fresh raw fish. I had the Dorado which was extremely well prepared. They are often served dried out but this was great. I had a demi-bottle of wine and it made for a lovely evening.I had to eat early because of a curfew my organization has imposed for Tunis. (I am not sure it was necessary.) So I arrived at 7 to wonderful smells of cooking. By the time I left the only thing you could smell was cigarette smoke. So if you want to both taste and smell your food go early. It is worth it!

I was with friends with no reservation, the restaurant was full. However, the staff were very helpful and supportive. They offered us a table after 5 minutes. The service was very good and the food was tasty. We ordered many seafood dishes including their famous spaghetti with seafood and the lovely Tunisian wine. The fish is always fresh, and the prices are affordable. A very good experience. We enjoyed much. I encourage all to visit that nice restaurant.

Chez Slah serves really excellent fresh fish and seafood. It is small and tucked away on Rue Pierre de Coubertin, close to the corner with Rue Mokta Attia. You must reserve in advance if you want a table. They open for dinner at 19.00. Traditional waiters in white shirts and black bow ties will advise on the best fish and seafood available each day. We had excellent brik and sautéed cuttlefish with garlic to start, followed by the best grilled tuna steak I've ever had. Very good with Tunisian white wines like Muscat de Kelibia or Ugni. Best to speak in French (the menu is also in French), but they also speak English. Two starters, two main courses and a bottle of wine cost us about 35 euros (115 dinars at the time). A must when you're in Tunis.
