Wanha Fiskari on mukava lounaspaikka ja tunnelmallinen illallisravintola Kotkassa. Erikoisuutena on tuore, paikallinen merikala ja luomutuotteet. Ryhmaruokailut yhteistyossa asiakkaan tarpeiden mukaan. Mukautuvat kokoustilat ja merihenkinen saunaosasto. T
This restaurant located next to Marenarium and serves as good continuation of your «river and sea » travel. They serve good food made out of various local fish. Nice atmosphere and excellent service. If you happen to travel around this area you must eat here!

If you go to Kotka, definitely pay a visit. I was taken there for business lunch which was a traditional Finnish christmas buffet. It was nice. The atmosphere was good. I enjoyed it.

Varissaari Island is a 15-minute frequent waterbus ride from the centre of Kotka, and worth visiting at least once if you are in Kotka in summertime. Small beach, ruins of the fortress, nice place for picknicking. If you have visited the faily modest Varissaari cafe 2-30 years ago, don't expect to find anything similar anymore. Now this is an ambitious, upscalish restaurant, serving food made with thought. The bar is similarly ambitious (serving the excellent Finnish gin, craft beers and real champagne), and miraculously the premises look very different now. The stunning sea view is left.I have visited the place twice, once for dinner (Aug 2015) and a second time for just drink in the bar (May 2016), and left the place both times with a good feeling.

Cafe and restaurant in Sapokka harbor at seaside. Delicious coffee and tea selection. Fresh drinks, self-made cakes and pies.
The cakes we had here were yummy but the salmon and mushroom soup portions were a bit small. The steeped tea was tasty and complimentary with the soup so we were encouraged to get the cake slices. The funny thing about this place is it's glass box in a glass box in a glass box layout.
I am originally from Finland, from Kotka and know these areas pretty well. Even though I m living in denmark I still do visit Finland every now and then. One of these occasions I found this mansion over Internet and the price, and the location and the pics were tempting. What a treat then! A little bit hard to find, just a short walk from Karhula centrum. A private goods once, no one was to see it, dry chosen few were allowed a visit. It was totally inaccessible for my by then. Now I enjoyed greatly the. Erandah and the sumptuous breakfast, the lovely stylish room, it was just to take the stairs up to the tower and the staff said we just make a fire in the stove if we want to, and all the time the staff was very nice and helpful! Great interior, great surroundings, worth visiting several times! Enjoy!
