Cretan cuisine with a twist... Creative & delicious dishes with fresh products from Crete! Come enjoy your meal and savour the magical view right by the sea!
The location is nice and the service is good. We've decided to take what the waitress recommended: stuffed calamari and tuna steak which were good and well prepared, but the side dishes ruined everything: cold mashed potatoes for the calamari and cold cus-cus and vegetables salad for the tuna.Hi Livia, we are sorry to hear that you received cold mashed potatoes and cus-cus. Though, the cold mashed potatoes where a potato salad that is always served cold and never warm. We do have a different twist, so our food is quite peculiar sometimes with the side dishes, but it's always made with the best culinary chemistry combinations to please the palate. So, we hope that you at least enjoyed the combination of food.

this is a mostly only unsual place at teh Kassimos port. This is really off teh beaten tracks with only GREEK population dining out. Most importantly this seems to be the only place whereyou can eat wild fish ( non farming) .Ask the waiter to see the fish in the fridge. They will be quite honest with you telling what is coming from the Greek farm and what is wild. You choose teh fish and tehy weight it in front of you.We were able to eat a Saragos and the hook with the line was still there..This is a very big difference with all teh fishing farms you find across Creta where all what you eat is farming fishThe grilled the fish with vegetables alongside a bit of olive oil.Perfect.Good service.

The Greek National Tourism Organization apparently includes it in the category of traditional Greek Cuisine. You come as a guest and you leave as a friend.
We visited here on the recommendation of our villa owner. It was so highly recommended, we did the 40min Drive one evening specifically for dinner.Really disappointed. While service was friendly and attentive, most of the items on the menu were not available. We found the fresh fish were priced at a premium to other places we visited and then we ended up having a dumb argument with the waitress who claimed we hadn’t ordered chips when we filled up with her (we have 2 11yo so chips are always on our order!!!).It was ok but wouldn’t make the effort - particularly as the local beach is rocky and there are much nicer options on the west coast.

We visited for lunch having found this place by chance last year. It is the last restaurant at the end of the road. Excellent food and service. Tables are set alongside the beach with great views out to sea. They serve a delicious griddled bread, olive paste, chopped tomatoes and soft cheese as a complimentary starter so be warned - we over ordered on our previous visit. We ate stuffed courgette flowers, saganaki prawns, stuffed squid and grilled lamb chops. All delicious. And then we received complimentary honey donuts and ice cream and raki to finish off. There was a campsite just behind the restaurant. It was quite a windy day on our visit and the waves were crashing in - wonderful visit and we will definitely go back.

The restaurant is set amongst vines and so is quite sheltered despite being open-air. This does have one disadvantage - if the person at the next table is smoking then it does mean that this lingers more than it would in a fully open air restaurant. Recommend asking the very friendly staff whether you could sit in an area where no-one is smoking. We had such a nice meal that we went back for a second time. Particularly love the salads

Great little family-run taverna with lovely views overlooking the monastry and coast. Enjoyed lovely rustic salads, cheeses, sausages, lamb chops etc over two visits. Typical Greek food and well cooked/prepared using their own produce a lot of the time.

We came to Stimadoris Taverna for lunch after a grueling hike on Balos Beach. We had fish, vlita and potatoes which were delicious. Our waiter was great and gave us awesome customer service. It was a really great treat after our hike. We highly recommend.

Welcome to the '' Plaka '' In a flowery corner on the beach with breathtaking views of the bay of Kissamos, to be enjoyed by the great sea: your swiming, your food, your coffee, your drink... All our meat and fish produce is fresh and from local producers
Overlooking beach but set back a bit so a little sheltered. Nice and friendly staff. Not so keen on widescreen tv which I find a bit distracting but can't fault the food or service. The fish is fresh and changes each day according to catch. We went back for a second visit (luckily no tv the second time).

This small restaurant is run by a young couple, Irene serving and her husband cooking. They are really good at what they do, everything we ate was delicious and really genuine (some dishes are their grandmother's recipe). The owners are very nice and want to make you feel like at home. You will do. Portions are generous and price is good. Highly recommended!

Absolutely fantastic cuisine! Delicious and fresh sea food. Tasty local wine, liquor and freshly cooked desserts! Moreover, you can buy here homemade local Greek liquor with rose, that is great for the presents!!! We definitely recommend this restaurant for a visit!
