On our last night at the Pullman in Munich we had no idea where to eat close by. The hotel clerk recommend Trattoria Da Fausto; a delightful restaurant and just a short, pretty walk from the hotel. The restaurant is beautifully decorated in a traditional way: Murano style glass light fixtures, greenery, cloth table & napkins. The menu has a good variety of food. We had duck Carpaccio, a mixed salad, a duck stuffed ravioli, tagliatelle, chardonnay and bottled water. The portions were generous, well presented and the food was delicious. The owner even included complimentary Limoncello at the meals end. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert. We were waited on mostly by the owner and his wife. We ended up chatting with them a lot and it turns out they sometimes visit our home city of Montreal. We hope to meet up with them in Montreal the next time they come here. We highly recommend this restaurant!Mille grazie team Fausto

If you ever find yourself in Vaterstetten (not that you would because it's definitely out of the way) and are looking for a good meal, this is the place for you. Authentic Italian including great appetizers, mains and desserts, this restaurant does a wonderful job of preparing and serving delicious food. Throw in a great wine list and now you have a definite reason to visit this part of Munich.

It is a delicious deli. The new kugler feinkost is so nicely presented. The salad sortiments...my goodness delicious. We love the tuna, shrimps in oil, mushrooms in oil, roasted peppers in oil, cole slaw, potatoe salad, egg salad, & so many others we have bought. They also sell exotic jelly, gingerbread cookies, olive oil, balsamico oil....MORE other gourmet products. You can also sit and have a fresh buttered pretzel. Filtered coffee. And a small lunch selection. Definitely worth the ride there

Very nice Greek restaurant in the east part of Munich. There is a big parking area on the backyard of the building. And it is just next to railway station. We ordered octopus and Dorado. Everything was very delicious. Good atmosphere. Everything as expected and according to evaluation score at TripAdvisor.

We had a great evening st Thalassa. The owner personally welcomed us with two glasses of ouzo before we struggled to finally choose several of the many great options on the menu. The mixed spit of grilled meats was excellent as was the pitta grilled with garlic. The moussaka tasted as great as it looked. After dessert, the owner came by again with a glass of warm metaxa. While not a cognac fan, this was surprisingly smooth and a nice ending to the night. Only fault keeping this from a 5 star review is a few hiccups from not writing down all of our order. But the food when finally served as ordered was fantastic and the service and atmosphere was great. Would definitely recommend

The great thing about travelling in Germany as an Englishman is the Germans don't translate everything, menus are in German ( as a rule ) this makes eating out fantastic fun, and choosing a beer even better. And I'm being serious, in spain everything is in English, where is the fun in that! So maybe I accidentally ordered a pizza with a chewy base with a distinctly fresh from the freezer texture. I also ordered a salad to start and a beer in the interim. Again this could be a cultural divide, but I had to wait for the food before I could have my beer, despite me asking three times. In fact everything arrived in unison, starter, pizza, and beer - like a McDonald's happy meal - except for my experience the result was not so happy. Having said all the above, the staff were very helpful, and the restaurant is certainly popular, and the setting is very pleasant.
