The food is like all the taverns in the area fresh and good tasting. If you buy the meze it's value for money but if you just want to eat a portion it's pretty much expensive.The view is great, especially in the summer when you get to seat by the sea and they have toys for kids, although they are pretty much beatup and they should buy some new ones.

We have eaten many times here during our 4 stays in the village and we always get a lovely welcome back from the owner Dimitris. The grilled food is always available and grilled to perfection-this time we had souvlaki, sheftali and fabulous lamb chops. The usual Greek dips are always good-especially the tahini and they make a lovely Greek salad. Local wine is served in a carafe and the prices are reasonable. Demitris is a genial host who speaks excellent English. When you get the menu, you will need to ask what's on as some dishes may not be available (otherwise I would have given it 5 stars for the food) and/or Demitris may have some specials. Go there, you will love this typical village taverna which is visited by locals and tourists alike. The taverna is open every night for dinner and is also open on Sundays for lunch and dinner. I spent a night with my fiancee in very modern but cosy apartment in Panayiotis Governor's Beach Resort. Everything is a brand new with amazing sea view. Room looks luxury and very clean. I was impressed. We also ate in the restaurant. Excellent service, tasty food. Owner Mr.Andreas is very friendly and helpfull. Went to the tavern after many years of not going to Cyprus. We went at 8pm. There were 6 people in our party. All looking forward to our Meze. 6 persons, so they recommend for four people. The food came quick and was plenty. We didnât manage to eat it all. Unfortunately whilst eating our meze it was getting dark and all of a sudden whilst eating we were in undated with hundreds of mosquitos. They were so many that they were landing on our food and not being able to eat and socialise properly. The waiters/waitresses were not bothered that the mosquitos were everywhere. They turned lights off near the beach tables and when we complained about it, they said they turned the lights off near there but not interested in sorting our side. Like I said before, the food was good but horrendous mosquitos. Beware of it!!!!!!!!

I like Zygi a lot, it has its charm and I usually visit once a while for a lunch. Decided on Hercules following the reviews and having been elsewhere.The welcoming is great, the owner knows his business. Very talkative but interesting, knowleadgeable in his business. Great life experience obviously.We went for the fish mezze, good. Not much oily, very fresh.Could not find a wine that suits me, he offered one off the menu and ended up being good.View of the sea is amazing, the restaurant is just on opposite sidewalk of sea with anice breeze.Will definitely go back

Diana fish restaurant is a well known seafood restaurant in Zygi and thus we were quite disappointed to see that it was over rated and quite disappointing.Our server seemed bored and unattentive, not friendly at all.The food was OK , not more and some of the dishes were prepared from frozen products ( which was not mentioned in the menu).

We have visited this restaurant many times over the years and once again my family and I have just had a super fish meal . The sal;ad was very fresh ,the fish we chose was cooked to perfection and the owners were very pleasant and helpful when we went to choose the fish from the cabinet.
