I like Korean food a lot, but after a couple of weeks traveling here, it can be nice to have a good European meal. And this one was delicious! Very good selection, and superbly cooked. Price is towards higher end, count on maybe $30 per person, but well worth it. And very nice service.

Once a very famous and (maybe) tasty place, where all the former presidents visited to have something to eat, and where all the walls are covered with signs and photos of famous people, it is over-priced, unkind, and most of all tasteless place to go to. Swarming with group-tourists, it still has a lot of customers, but most of them are first-comers, (maybe the last-comers) and lost people that come by searching old reviews of the once famous place. If you want to be mistreated, ripped off, and have dishes that are laden with MSG, this is the place to go. If not, have something somewhere else. Please.

The restaurant serves healthy, high-quality food and specialty products and products of Jeju Island. You can enjoy seaweed bibimbap, gondre bibimbap and abalone dishes. With a clean ambience and a quiet atmosphere, we will make a happy trip to Jeju Island
It's been a long time since I have had sea food so judge accordingly. I ordered a sampling of 4 types ($$$$). I just could not make up my mind which was best they were all delicious. I also had their "Roast Abalone". This was excellent. My wife ordered a "Korean Temple Food";she love it. it was simple vegan food. She doesn't like sea food so she would give a order.

Tried out this restaurant because of rating, although with hesitation as none of them were in English... For good reason. This restaurant's target audience is Chinese tourists, and the following was conducted all in mandarin. We got to the restaurant a bit before 7:30pm and placed our names down on the wait list. They said it would be a roughly 30 minute wait, but we managed to get a table within 10. We entered, took off our shoes and lead to our table. The menu is only in Korean and Chinese - you typically order the seafood hotpot (size relating to how many are in your party), then you can add extras (assorted fish, abalone). Below that, there's also a standalone abalone dish, 20k for small, 40k for medium. The menu list in the middle column has an assortment of fish or abalone dishes. The column on the right is drinks. We ordered a small (2 person) hot pot and beer.Food came our quite quickly, and indeed it looked very grand. There was a mountain of shellfish, with an octopus squirming on top. The abalone were also doing whatever it is abalone do. Underneath the shellfish, we would find a crab and a large portion of bean shoots. The will cook the food for you and let you know when the food is ready to eat.Overall, the dish was somewhere between average and bad. About 2/3 of the mussels and clams had an overpowering fishy flavour. The abalone was quite bland. The octopus was quite good, as was the crab. When you're done with the seafood, they give you instant noodles and some green veggies to put into the hotpot to finish the soup. The soup itself was very light on flavour in the beginning, and just tasted of salt towards the end. The staff were quite attentive, would make sure that food was being cooked well and that the bowl for your inedible parts were cleared. The overall atmosphere was bustling (mostly with chatter of Chinese dialects), and quite enjoyable. In summary, I wouldn't really be able to recommend this restaurant. There are far tastier restaurants to fill your belly at than this one. Added in the language barrier for non-Korean and non-Mandarin speaking travellers, I'd probably give this joint a miss, folks.

By far the best omakase I've ever had in Korea. Loved the distinctive atomsphere and culinary experience that can not be felt anywhere else in Jeju. Really loved the napkin they give out as souvenir too! :) I will definitely revisit whenever I have the chance to visit Jeju.

Knowing that this place is popular among the locals, we went there for an early dinner about 5pm and we didn't need to queue. The menu only has 4 dishes - porridge, hotstone rice, barbeque abalone and sliced raw abalone. We had the hotstone rice and barbeque abalone. Both tasted great. This is indeed a must eat in Jeju
