We came here during our holiday in Izola, attracted by the seafood menu! We were seated pretty quickly and the waitress spoke Italian!! We had a very nice conversation and she gave excellent suggestions. Ordered the cold seafood trio (delicious, in particular the tuna sauce) and fusi with scampi and mussels. Everything was perfect. As dessert, tiramisu and millefoglie. Also delicious. Everything paired with a dry and scented Malvasia. All of this for under 40 euros. Will be back

This is the restaurant of the Belvedere hotel, so I was expecting high standards. I was not disappointed. The waiting staff were amazing - really kind, attentive and full of suggestions. We ordered shared dishes for the table, fish mainly due to the location- and everything was great. The steak we also ordered was beautiful too. TOP TIP - if youâre from the UK order it as you would back home. I normally eat medium/rare and they recommended medium based on my description and it was a little overdone for my liking. But really tasty and covered in black truffle!The location itself is beautiful with a vista panoramic view of the coastline. It was much too hot for me as although shady, there was no breeze unfortunately. Still - copious amounts of water sufficed. I would come next time for dinner when itâs cooler, but great food. We had a dinner here and it was fantastic. The place is nice, close to the harbour. The staff is very friendly and kind. We ordered a brancin with mangold and plejska with lepinja. Both of them were delicious. For drink we drank malvazija and refoska, plus some water. Finally we just paid 30 eur for everything. Price/value is absolutely good, recommended place.

We were there with the family for dinner and were absolutely stunned how great the food was. We had a fantasic 4 course dinner and enjoyed every single dish we got. The owner is a lovely person who explains everything in details, knows and loves cooking and you notice immediately that this is his passion. Excellent food and excellent service in a relaxing atmosphere with great view. We were happy that we found this little gem. Reservation is recommended as the restaurant is not that big (although we were lucky and got a seat with coming in like that, but we arrived pretty early).

The restaurant Sidro is located near the sea and has some tables outside, which are perfect to enjoy good weather while eating. Well, after sitting down, one of the waiters came, took our order, and left. Our food arrived more than one hour later, when we were already cold and very hungry. I had ordered tagliatelle with cuttlefish but got rice instead. When I asked the waiter about it, he just told me that if I wanted tagliatelle, I would have to wait for a long time again. Waiting another hour was not acceptable for me, because everyone else already got their food, and since tagliatelle with cuttlefish can be prepared in a few minutes, this seemed unnecessary. He also used the informal form of addressing me in Slovenian, which was impolite in this situation. I didnât enjoy the rice at all, because it was overcooked. My sisterâs tagliatelle with scampi had some strong spice that completely covered the taste of scampi, and the fried squid was oily. If the staff showed a better attitude, I would probably overlook the food-related shortcomings. This was a very disappointing experience.

During our recent visit to Izola we ate at the Marina restaurant on 5 occasions and the food was first class on each occasion, the service was efficient and very friendly nothing was to much trouble. We had the fish platter for two, and it was amazing. My only complaint is it could have been a bit more, and would have preferred to pick our own sides, which you can not, is fries and swiss chard.The staff was friendly and nice.The bathroom could use more cleaning and air refreshers.Overall it's a good place to eat at.

The building is beautiful, shining clean, amazing views, the ambiance is just perfect. We were kindly greeted by the staff, and taken to our table. We ordered a four-course degustation menu. All the dishes are freshly made and delicious. There are about six dishes in the first course, then pasta, then two beef steaks, and then two desserts including a lovely gluten-free cake. In total, we ate about ten dishes and all of them unforgettable. The server was superb. He was there for us all the time. We have not felt waiting or searching for him not even for a moment. Financial-wise: The four-course degustation menu is more than worth the money. We were more than full and the cost is not even high for what we got. The champagnes are not expensive either: 72 for a bottle of Clicquot in a good restaurant is a more-than-fair price. Hisa Torkla made our evening unforgettable. We will come back to Torkla for sure but it will be hard for them to beat that night.

We planned on going to the restaurant nearby (cantina del pescatore) but they were overcrowded. went to the kantina rikardo instead. we absolutly didnt regret it. incredibly friendly waiter who absolutely knows his stuff, fast service and nice, traditional food! go visit this place!Hvala, Grazie, Thank you, Danke :)

The food was very tasty and varied. We had a slight misunderstanding and they solved it instantly. Location might not be the best but you forget that quickly because the atmosphere is nice. Feels genuine. Also as someone who always wears shorts and skirts, I was happy about the padding on my chair haha!
