The town is a beach-front community situated on a barrier island west of Seminole. The population was 1,420 at the 2010 census. The town has recently undergone multiple construction and renovation projects, including utility undergrounding, road re-surfacing, and the placement of pedestrian safety measures. The town staff recently moved into a new municipal center which replaces the decades-old, antiquated facility. The new building houses all Town Departments, and a Council Chambers for official meetings. The fourth floor of the building has a large banquet hall, with waterfront balcony views on both sides.

Stopped in today for hubby's birthday lunch. As always greeted warmly when we arrived & seated quickly as we were there during a quieter time of day. Restaurant is popular & is usually busy. Stacey was our server & she was friendly & attentive. We enjoyed the happy hr special 2 for 1 drinks. My husband had the jalapeno encrusted grouper which was delicious & I had the conch cracker shrimp app with a side salad. I like that they let you make an app into a meal for only $4.95 more. The house salad came with jicama sticks on top which was a nice touch of added crunch. We always enjoy the food, service & atmosphere...just wish we lived closer... but it's worth the 1.5 hr drive from where we live!

Wahoo: A cry of accomplishment, nickname of the Virginia Cavaliers, a fish or a dandy beach bar and grill? All are correct but my choice would be Wahoo's Waterside Pub & Patio on Gulf Boulevard, Redington Shores.Wahoo's is a quaint, non-pretentious beachy spot serving really good grub, cold beer and wine topped off with friendly staff and patrons. This is a welcome relief from the ubiquitous tourist traps lining the beach. Wahoo's is perfect for locals and visitors in-the-know.There is a paper menu but your best bets are to be found on the daily changing chalk boards. If you are lucky you might snag a parking spot on Gulf Boulevard. We've only been lucky once. Usually we park in the free lot across the boulevard. Also, there are tables outside overlooking the Intracoastal.Did I mention this place ain't fancy? But, what the heck ... WAHOO!

Our server was not very attentive or enthusiastic when I asked about details regarding the food. Never refilled my tea. I started with the Ahi tuna. It was exceptionally dark tuna with a tasty rub on it. Had to ask for pickled tuna which typically comes with Ahi. No particular sauce. Portion average for the price. Expected more for the money. Had great expectations for the brisket. Although it had a good taste aided by the BBQ sauce on the side although fork tender it was very much on the dry side difficult to chew with absolutely no fat which is what makes brisket good. To tiring for the jaws to eat all of the generous portion. Food over all good for the rest of the party. Place was not particularly inspiring on decor. Did have a clean very nice restroom. With so many other choices Iâd probably skip a return visit. They do have a extensive menu with lots of options . Place was not busy at prime time.

We ate lunch here with friends and we all had the daily special of fish and chips, which is great value at $7. We all enjoyed it and cleared our plates. We also made the most of the happy hour drinks, especially the ladies who had Margaritas. Our server, Nicki, was very pleasant and nothing was a problem for her. Weâll definitely be back to try another special, probably the grouper cheeks which other friends have highly recommended.Beedubya, thank you so much for the great review! Recommended by Yelp. We love the area. My husband ordered the blackened Shrimp Tacos with Slaw & sautéed spinach sides. He loved it allI ordered the Crab Cake & a cup of Grouper Chowder- oh Wow! Crab Cake was truly filled with Lump crab, more crab than filler- Yeah! The the Grouper Chowder was pretty amazing, I think I have a new favorite chowder. Thanks for the #fivebubblereview Karen. Great food, relaxing casual atmosphere and gigantic frozen Margaritas - what's not to love? Our server, Amanda K., took great care of us, instantly took our drink orders and brought us a large pitcher of ice water which was greatly appreciated after a day on the beach in the hot Florida sun. Frozen Margaritas followed very shortly and were absolutely delicious. We both had the Chicken Club sandwich and everything was very tasty, cooked perfectly. No room for dessert for either of us as the meals were huge. The Seabreeze overlooks the Intercoastal waterway, great location especially if you want to sit outside on the patio. We'll definitely return. Keep an eye out for George, the resident seabird - he's a regular.Thank you for joining us, Shaun! Love the new ownership , new menu, but sadly they removed the cheese spinach dip from the appetizers.Like that their is a live band nightly.Love their fish fry, but, BIG BUT, why serve it in a basket with a paper under the fish, you cut a piece of fish and you also get the paper with it. Please stop this , its a pain in the butt to be picking paper off your fork.Thank you so much for the excellent feedback! We can definitely make sure the fish comes on a plate for you next time you're in, just let your server know ahead of time. We appreciate you!

We have always loved our dining experience at The Salt Rock Grill. So it was a shock when things did not live up to expectations in 2018. My review reflected my worries about standards dropping. I was asked to contact the owner who was very gracious and keen to address my concerns. He asked that we try again to see that my disappointment was a one off.We went again in September and had a wonderful meal. The food, ambience and service was first class and just as it ever was. I was welcomed by the manager who was friendly and warm and our server was an experienced man who made sure that everything was perfect.I always believed that Salt Rock Grill was wonderful value for money and a superb quality dining experience. I am delighted to say that everything we believed before the experiences of last year have now been restored.This is an utterly superb place to enjoy wonderfully cooked food, superb wines and cocktails. Family friendly restaurant with a variety of fresh grouper dishes as well as grilled or blackened shrimp, mahi mahi and tilapia. Delicious golden fried fritters and the scallops and baked sweet potato are a must try!
