Reviews on Seafood food in Houmt Souk, Medenine Governorate, Tunisia. Houmt-Souk is a tranquil cultural hub, a peaceful meeting point of varying religions and ethnicities. Nowhere is this melange more evident than at the markets, where you could spend hours, even days, poring over locally crafted pottery, jewelry, leather goods, textiles and artwork, as well as a bounty of fruits, vegetables, spices and meats. Don’t miss the beachside fortress, a massive 15th-century structure that’s one of the most important archaeological sites of the region.

The food at Haroun is simple but good. The seafood pasta was delicate and delicious and the seafood and fish were finely grilled. The seafood rice was disappointing. We finished off with a lovely lime sorbet. The decor of the restaurant is amazing. It feels cosy even though it is large. The bathrooms are impeccably clean.

Went there for a quick dinner as per my taxi driver advice. Very nice dinning room; friendly staff; Clean place. The food taste was OK. The menu includes mainly pasta and pizzas. The only disadvantages I could tell are the lack of English speaking people, everything is French over there and the price of food is slightly over rated. ;)

The owners cooks and serve you what is available from the market. Everything is almost homemade and they are very accomodating. We had seefood couscous à nd mixed grill.Everything was to perfection. The only thing I found different is that it fid not have a nenu with prices written anywhere.I recommend it!

We stopped in as a family of four for lunch. Ordered a variety of typical Tunisia cafe food. Not impressed with quality and freshness of the food. The Seafood pizza lacked a lot of flavor and had very little sub average pre-frozen seafood on top with minimal very bland red sauce. Thrown together on a premade crust:(Probably the worst Iâve had in Tunisia and Iâve been coming for 10+years.The Salad Mechouia which we are absolutely crazy for was the biggest disappointment....watery, and served without oil. Obviously it had been frozen and thawed out before being plated. HUGE fail, for a Tunisian restaurant. We brought the complaint up with our server as we didnât eat the Mechouia, and they refused to make it right. Even the Owner came and argued with my husband about the ridiculous dish, which is always so annoying, especially when he knows this crap wasnât right. The restaurant makes unnecessary cuts in quality and freshness to extend the life of the food they serve. Not a good choice, and unfortunately as a customer you loss. Bad business model and lack of customer service, so move on.
