As a native of south Louisiana , I was disappointed. The boiled crawfish was not good. They were large, however, did not taste good. Seasoning was not in boil, it was sprinkled on top. Will never order that again. Fried green tomatoes w crab meat needed more sauce. Crab topping was dry and tasteless. The Cajun Seafood House in Vestavia Hills is much better and with true Cajun authentic taste.

Food was fantastic. Was here while on business and because I was alone ate at the bar. The Bar tender Adam was horrible. All he cared about was the women. Terrible service for me. We arrived around 7:30 pm on Sunday evening. We were seated quickly and received fast service even though the place was pretty busy. Everyoneâs meals were fantasticâfresh salads, awesome fresh, seafood, yummy hush puppies, great red beans and rice, and excellent fried ocra. Our server was efficient and friendly. So glad the Residence Inn staff recommended Steamers.

The hostess seated a group of four 65+ seniors at a high-top table. Yes, we should have asked to move, but we didn't realize we would be there all night. We placed our drink orders promptly, but it took a long time to get our (nonalcoholic) drinks. Then it took a while before out server came back to take our orders. Then came the really long wait for our food. A manager came by and said she would check. She walked by later and we asked and she just shrugged. We finally got our food, and it was delicious. We never got drink refills though they were requested. The manager came by and offered $10 off our ticket. We got separate checks, so that didn't happen.

I very much wanted to like this place. The food was good, but the portions were pretty light given the prices. If I lived right around the corner I would go here, but I wouldn't make a drive for it. Landry's is more for less with similar quality.
