Run by brothers who really know how to cook. The place is big on take out with a few seats. Fried seafood dinners are excellent. big and delicious. Sandwiches are packed full of your favorite stuff and made to order just the way you want them.
A newly opened local restaurant...how we dearly wanted it to be good. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Four people and each person had at least one bad item served to them. The cup of clam chowder was served lukewarm after we specifically asked the server to make sure it was piping hot. We sent it back and it was returned hot but the ratio of clams, potatoes and liquid had now been changed to a cup of mushy clams and potatoes with only a slight teaspoon of liquid. The tomato salad was good but after all, tomatoes, cheese and a balsamic glaze is hard to mess up. The girls split an order of chorizo stuffed clams and though the clams were hot and tasty, the stuffing turned out to bread with no hint of the sausage or clams that were promised. Aldo, they were deep fried when we had expected them to be baked. After the apps and soup, we headed to the entrees. One of the chicken taco orders was inedible. She said the chicken was dry and tasteless. My chicken taco was ok and the fish taco was also ok. The amount of fish as small but tasty. The two men had the fish and chips and the fish was a beer battered (frozen) fish fillet. It tasted ok but not worth the money they charged. My husband said his fried were soggy too. Eventually, it was off to desert land. We ordered two strawberry shortcakes. What a disaster! A dry biscuit with a scoop of soft vanilla ice cream in the middle. And maybe 1 1/2 strawberries sliced up and thrown onto the biscuit with a dollop of whipped cream...NO JUICE!!!! It was insulting/ The guys ordered coffee which was served room temperature at best. To be fair, the server did serve new coffee and took the shortcake and chicken taco off the menu but we came to have dinner. not to taste test and walk away hungry. We did have a lavender gimlet which was fabulous but certainly didn't justify everything else. Not to mention the $160.00 tab inc. tip.Oh, and when we were leaving, we were asked how everything was, by a man in the exit doorway who said he represented the management. BTW, he was intoxicated. What a horrible experience. Cross this one off the list. What a shame!

Dropped in on a Tuesday for a late lunch early dinner. We ordered the delicious hot crab dip, I recommend to everyone. A favorite at my table. One friend ordered the fish tacos, they were excellent. I ordered the crab cakes, they were tasty, however not plated in an appealing manner. The other people at the table ordered the steak tip salad, it was perfectly plated, cooked and seasoned properly. Another order was the Jumbo shrimp cocktail I do not recommend. It was not freshly cooked, it was like rubber and we sent it back. The server we had was excellent a very astute young man whom relocated from Florida.

Treat yourself to a beautiful sunset dinner at Local 02045. Set right at a local marina Local 02045 provides a beautiful setting especially during the summer. It is even accessible by boat. How fun is that? My brother surprised us and offered to take us on his boat from Hingham to the marina. The weather was great and even though the tide was low the waves were not choppy. We went on the Friday night of Labor Day weekend. The weather was beautiful. The sunset was glorious. And yes, it was crowded. There were four of us and they said it would be at least 45 minutes to get a table. After waiting for about twenty minutes 4 adjacent spots became available at the bar, so we took those and had dinner there. It was great! Very nice time. Strongly recommend. I think these new owners have the right "recipe" for Local 02045 to be around for a vcery long time. We will definitely be coming back, except probably not by boat the next time (unless my brother offers again!).Thank you so much! Your feedback is more than appreciated. Hope to see you again next season!

Dropped in for a late lunch with four adults and two children. Childrenâs menu on the table. Weather turned from mid-80âs to sixties. Wind picked up. Kids were still wet from the beach. The staff brought out blankets for the kids which made the whole experience so much better. Mahi dinner plate was great and the hot sauces were supper compliments. I had a couple of local suds Lord Hobo Boom Sauce was a super good IPA. Everyone was very pleased all around. Thanks HK Too.

From Legal Sea Foods, Legal C Bar emerges, a focused yet full-flavored social urban venue, casual in style. Classic 'C' fare like clams, cod, crab and calamari as well as custom cocktails provides a contemporary, comfortable experience. Legal C Bar's menu
This place has been our go to place for a long time for very good meal and service. Apparently menu recently changed for some reason. Resulting in fewer choices although denied by wait staff; if not then letâs call it much more complicated ordering. For examples, sides are no longer listed so you need to ask wait staff , if you know to do so. Mixing and matching is allowed but pricing is confusing because certain sides are premium. Prior choice of fish and how you want it seasoned and cooked was unique and outstanding but now gone. Chowder usually good but only mediocre. Martini was weak. Not sure if there has been a change in local management or if this is corporate and financially driven but even dessert menu had spelling error, which is not typical. Hopefully the restaurant will rethink its changes before it is too late.

Came for breakfast before walking the beach on a nice September day. We stayed at the adjacent Nantasket Beach Resort so this place was a no-brainer, and ordered the eggs, pancakes, and home fries across the board. Very good, and a perfect breakfast. About $10-11/plate.

Spent a day at the beach, and was looking for a place to eat lunch. From the outside I wasn't sure what to expect, but when we came in we were pleasantly surprised. Everything was phenomal, the clam chowder was out of this world. Lots of seafood to choose from, and everyone in our party of 7 was happy with their order.Next time i am at the beach, i will def stop in here again!

Jake's has been serving award winning fresh seafood for over 50 years! We are a seasonal (open April-November) restaurant located in beautiful Nantasket Beach directly on the water! We feature a full service seafood market for those wanting to take fresh
I actually ate twice at Jake's. The first was take-out seafood bisque, which was bland and disappointing. The second was a sit-down dinner (for 2) that included both grilled swordfish and lobster. Both dishes were outstanding. Our server was equally outstanding. She could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Prices were reasonable. The wine list was short but we found a very pleasant white to go with our food. A totally satisfactory experience. Would go back; would recommend.
