Classic steak house in Guatemala, specialized in good seasoning since 1992. We have reservations, events, playground for children, ample parking and VIP rooms for special customers.
This place has some of the best steaks I have ever tasted. Bone broth is served on the house and it is good. We started with the Chicharrones that were ridiculously good and served with some delicious sauce. We also had the quest fundido with sausage served with home made tortillas. Both were incredible. We then each ordered steaks. My cousin ordered skirt steak which was cooked perfectly. My wife and I shared the tenderloin (lomito) which I think is the best cut of meat to get in Guatemala and we had it very rare (blue) and they cooked it perfectly. I'm still thinking about it. The ambiance is Guatemala perfect, dim light, surrounded by natural wood tables and wall accents and the smell of grilling meats and fresh vegetables. The wait staff was extremely attendant and very nice. The food was ver well priced for the amount and quality we received. I ate way too much but it was totally worth it. Delicious! Highly recommended.

Jakeâs offers the top culinary experience in Central America, with spectacular interiors and exteriors, as well as an incomparable cocktail lounge.
Passing through Guatemala City and staying near Jakeâs. Came for dinner and was not disappointed. My only real disappointment is that they are closed tonight, the Day of the Dead. The meal was excellent.Met Jake after dinner in the bar and he was affable and friendly. His long connection with Guatemala made for some fascinating discussion. Hopefully when I return, he will be open againThank you Stuart! I'm pleased that you enjoyed your experience here at Jake's, and great chatting with you.I would also like to thank you for your time and effort in helping the people of Guatemala. Bless you!Jake

Had an excellent meal here last Saturday night. Very tasty and tender squid as a starter ("calamares") followed by an excellent, fresh and perfectly cooked sea bass ("robalo"), followed by custard ("crême brulée") and coffee ("cortadito"). The wine was a Sancerre. None of this terribly unusual as a menu item, nor did it come served in fancy peudo "nouvelle-cuisine" presentations: it was just good food with excellent service. And it is nice to be in a restaurant which is quiet, where one can enjoy one's conversation without background music to distract. Although it is one of the most expensive restaurants in the capital, you get your money's worth.

Made reservations at this restaurant based on recommendation by the hotel. Service, drinks and the food was very good. The only issue I had with this establishment was the inclusion of DOLPHIN in their ceviche and a couple of other dishes. We obviously did not order them.

This is one of the best surprises I've had in a long, long time. We lucked out and got a table without a reservation (don't try this regularly) and were in for a treat. The wine list is as good as it gets (the sommelier is French) and the food spectacular. There were four in our party and between us we hit the bulk of the menu. Every dish was a delight. It's a great people watching spot and I'll be back soon, with a reservation.

Real Greek and mediterranean home cooking!!! New management...Chef Yanakis(R) will take you back to Mykonos and Santorini!!!
Very solid option for something different in Guatemala city. This restaurant is a staple of the z10 restaurant scene and for good reason. it's consistent quality and different menu options offer a nice reprieve from traditional Guatemalan fare or chain options around town.
