Gracious welcome, prompt seating on a week night. We were offered our choice of outdoor table, and the staff cheerfully accommodated our selection of a table furthest from the serversâ area. Danielle was relaxed, efficient, stylish and gracious. She offered to bring everyone cushions for the metal outdoor chairs, and lit two gas heaters for our comfort on a chilly evening. My confit of duck was served hot and perfectly done. Seafood fettuccine was outstanding as were the beef short ribs. A nice selection of wines was available, from local to nice European varieties. The sweeping river view was as nice as gathering restaurant. Weâll be back, and we recommend highly!

We had dinner at The Laughing Clam on a weeknight and weâre so pleased with the food, the service and the fabulous local wine and beer. But what we loved most was the cheerful ambiance: no television screens! Kitchen staff singing along with the music! This area made us want to visit Grants Pass again.

Well worth a visit. Food preparation was good, presentation (if important to you) was good. Tastes were very good and distinct. Unlike a few local restaurants, you could actually tell what your were eating as the presentation didn't detract from the actual food that we purchased. Service was just ok, we just didn't feel like we received enough attention. We were not ignored, nor were the staff hovering, but just a feeling that it could have been a little better. The coconut cake was to die for...when in the neighborhood we stop by for a piece of cake to go. Will we return...yes, there are many items on the menu we'd love to try. Try going to the Bistro on any night but Friday...simply too crowded to enjoy.
