Had lunch there today; it had been years since first visiting and it was not impressive years ago - food was horrible. Today, it was delish! Baked, stuffed haddock was really good and fresh, rice was unusual but quite good (had veggies in it) and the salad bar was very good. The carrot cake was to die for. One thing, though - the walls could use a good scrubbing as they were quite dirty.

I recently stayed at the hotel and didn't have time to find a place to eat. The smoked seafood chowder was great. If you like creamy seafood chowders this is a must have. You will not be disappointed. I also had the pizza and really enjoyed it. Normally I wouldn't recommend getting pizza in Maine but this was actually very good. Although, I do wish I tried the lobster roll...will need to be next time. The service was great and I highly recommend giving this place a try.

You can't beat this place for fresh and tasty food at an excellent price. Plus staff are friendly and attentive. They're connected to a butcher shop so the meats and seafood are all extremely fresh. There's nothing at all fancy about this place, but if you want solid food and a great price this will do it. They have a Wed-Thurs wing and $1.00 beer nights which can be busy and a bit loud, but fun. They're also apparently staring a bloody Mary and food bar on Sundays that we're looking forward to checking out.
