We popped in for lunch, and the service has excellent friendly and welcoming, we had a salad, fava and Dakos,which was fine. The complimentary Raki was good and it was a pleasant view sitting and watch the world go by.

Situated on Kalivaki beach. Beautiful, white sands in crescent shape, straddled and fed at either side by icy cold river /spring waters making sea water pretty cool. Taverna this w identified by pink coloured beds and umbrellas(few blue ones too - see picture) Taverna right on beach. 5 euro for beds and brolly, you can also use pool adjacent to taverna which is quite lovely. Taverna is traditional, no frills, but very good food with decent portion sizes. Uncomplicated, no gimmicks and excellent service.

Driving along the national highway from Kavyles passing Georgioupoli we pulled off the road to venture around here and looking for somewhere to have a afternoon snack... on the road that runs parallel we passed several pull ins on our left passing a large hotel complex around 500 yards further on noted a beach bar seven souls sign with parking that offered the car under shade via a wooden trellising,so we chose here.1st visit the sun beds are free if you eat -drink from the bar or order so fair enough.Taking the option to order we sat down in the seated area the staff here are lovely helpful always not a problem the granddad I suspect back of the bar helpful and quite a character.Food was nice handed out by two young lads here and when you eaten a free raki and fruit to finish off.We was that impressed visited here 5 times durning our two weeks travels about.Beach area nice and clean plus you can walk to Georgioupoli along the beach from here Seven souls recommended for the food and service if we stop around here in the future itâs a revisit

Slightly out of the town centre, this is a nice spot close to the river. We chose several small dishes for our evening meal - highlights were the stuffed courgette flowers, potatoes in lemon sauce and the small fish (bigger than whitebait, smaller than sardines).

My husband and two friends visited this restaurant for the 1st time and had a lovely evening. I had the tasiest salmon fillet I've ever had. The staff were very friendly and the owner came to speak to us and recommend some dishes to us. He also gave us a complimentary bottle of wine which was very nice. The seaview is obviously one of the highlights of this restaurant but for me the salmon was my highlight. It would've been 5 stars if they had more veg accompniments and better presentation.

The reviews are true! Very relaxed place, great atmosphere. Good value! A bit of a walk down the beach but worth it. Large car park for car drivers. Toilets clean. Chips and small pies delicious!

We stopped here twice and both had the cocktail of the day, which at 5 euros each was pretty much a bargain.It's opposite the beach (and it's a section of their own private beach). You can see the monastery on the headland and fishing boats coming and going.Service is typically Greek so don't be in a rush, just soak up the relaxed lifestyle.

Stayed here in 2016, and 2019. Rooms are lovely, clean, comfortable [coffee machine!] - handy to the 2 beaches [1 min walk] and town square [1 min walk] - Restaurant is amazing. One of the best we've ever found in Crete. The lamb baked in the oven is like a religious experience...so good. Highly recommended.

Nice fish, freshly caught each day. Be careful what you ask for because it will mount up rapidly. I resent having to pay for 'extras' like salad, chips etc when you are paying for an expensive fish in the first place. House wine, ok ish. Service etsi ketsi. You will find better value restaurants in the town though.

Great restaurant, a nice combination of traditional greek food with a home cooked delicious note and an elegant lounge bar feeling. Gorgeous view, great fish, romantic, yet perfect for families, because of the lovely play area. Classy decor and comfy seating. Very attentive and friendly staff. I would gladly come again any time.
