This is a very popular restaurant with a nice, relaxed athmosphere. There is an open fireplace, and a pizza oven in the restaurant which was great when visiting in January. Service was good and helpful. Maybe we were not choosing the right courses, but we were not impressed by the food. We had beef and pasta, and were not too excited about the food. It was OK, but based on the number of people in the restaurant we had expected more than average. You should probably take the focaccia and something from the grill as this is what they have on the standard menu. We will come back and try again.

True Napolitan Pizza and Italian cuisine on the sea of Finale Ligure
Having a bad experience the day before (restaurant La Grotte, never go there!), I checked Tripadvisor and chose Il Basilico for lunch today. It was so good... We will come back. First, our waiter was the nicest person ever. And second, the food was very tasty. We had Burattino and Mozzarella for a started and actually were full after that. The cheeses in both portions were amazing. The mozzarella was just huge. We shared pizza afterwards. One for 11.50⬠:) Pesto was very tasty, fresh tomatoes... Finally we had a delicious Italian food. Thank you! (Note: They take Coperto 2⬠per person).

All the information is in the website. Please let me know when I can review it. Thanks, Davide. Tha
I can't say enough about how much I've loved my experiences here, and I've gone there everyday of my vacation!!! Every single bite that I've had here has been absolutely delicious. From the luxurious lasagne al pesto, to the spaghetti con frutti di mare or the fresh swordfish Livornese.. The flavors are authentic and expertly prepared by people that are knowledgeable and friendly.. Also, the owner not only knows his food, but is there to help with choosing the perfect wine for your meal.. If you are in Finale Ligure and are looking for great food, this is the place.. I'm going back tomorrow!!

Spiaggia Con Ristorante
Staying frequently in the South of France we decided to trie out their Italian neighbours in Liguria in 2008. We ended up in Albatros Varigotti. Bagni Gallo was situated in front of our hotel. This beach bar & restaurant is our main reason for returning here every year since. What a great dish, of course You have to like fish and pasta with a cold glass of Pigato, but who doesn't...!! The staff works very relaxed and friendly. You'll expirience a laid back atmosphere and a great seaview in which kids are more then welcome. We will be looking forward going to Bagni Gallo this year again!!

Their food is the opposite of Grotesque. We had a wonderful lunch during our daytrip to Finale Ligure. My wife ordered a pasta with cozze misti (shellfish). I had a gnocchi with saffron, octopus and pancetta. Both were excellent. We declined a secondo piatto but split a dessert of caramel panna cotta. We finished our half litre of vino bianco and decided to ask for two digestifs. Instead of the usual tiny little glass of something they put on our table 6 bottles of assorted liqueurs, limoncello, blueberry, walnut, and others. Incredible! The service was efficient and friendly, and our bill was only 42 euro. Grazie mille !!!

lovely ambiance - table settings nice... we tried an appetizer of crispy cod, this was excellent...first course we tried a ravioli - second course was a tagliatelle vitello - all dishes were excellent on taste and lovely presentation...splitting the dishes all through was the way to go, large portions....the desserts were over the top... a millefoglie tart which had berries, and cream was outstanding....limone sorbetto was amazing ....complimentary lemoncello... with the courses we had an excellent prosecco which was complimentary upon arrival, and we stuck with glasses through the meal it was that clean and crisp... overall not expensive for the servings, but well worth a splurge...one of the few really worthy restaurants in this area... Only improvement would be to add candles to the tables, and dim the lights slightly....would be amazing candlelit. Lovely dining room ambiance.

One of the best front of the sea restaurant in Varigotti, Liguria. Opening season from May to September. From breakfast to a special dinner on the beach.
We stayed for three days in a hotel nearby and appreciated this fabuloues restaurant with local ingredients and fish from the close sea. Moderately priced menu with great dishes made us come back all days for their great food and friendly service.

Il Cucco is situated in San Bartolome, 4 km away from Final Marina. The view from there is amazing. The restaurant is very busy, mostly Italian guests, make a reservation well ahead, especially if you go there on weekends. All food was great, they serve a wide variety of fish-/meat-dishes and great desserts. Staff was very friendly and funny, even they had a lot of work the evening we were there. At least one or two waiters speak English quite good and they help you with the Italian menu. Donât miss this place.

There are three superficial reviews listed here previously, which tell you almost nothing. This small hotel restaurant has been around for a long time in this quintessential Ligurian seaside village. We have been fortunate to dine here four or five times in the last two decades. The small dining room establishment strives for and achieves great things. The menu may be a little narrow, but everything coming out of the kitchen is beautiful, well balanced and delicious. The quality of the ingredients and the presentation justify somewhat elevated prices. For many years Michelin had awarded the restaurant a star. Michelin, in Italy, is even more inscrutable and erratic than in France. Now listed, without a star, the restaurant is still a very reliable and enjoyable destination. The spaghetti, with shell fish and grilled peppers we had today for lunch was sublime. San Pietro with zucchini very respectable, but with just a tad too much salt. The dessert cart was full of lovely temptations. The wine list, concentrates on white wine and champagne, consistent with the strong seafood direction of the menu. Service was gracious and low key. Sitting on the veranda, with an unobstructed view of the sea, and a fine meal unfolding, represents what fine dining is about. Bravo. We will be back.

Sometimes you got lucky just to enjoy the simple pleasures of this life: wonderful surroundings, nice restaurant packed with lively people, generous hosts, and straight tasty food, nothing fancy, but just right, fresh and from the soul! If you are wise enough to see whatâs the real deal, come across this place. Enjoy and remember
