Find out what Seafood restaurants to try in Famagusta. Famagusta /ˌfæməˈɡʊstə, ˌfɑː-/ (Greek: Αμμόχωστος locally [aˈmːoxostos]; Turkish: Mağusa [mɑˈɰusɑ], or Gazimağusa [gɑːzimɑˈɰusɑ]) is a city on the east coast of Cyprus. It is located east of Nicosia and possesses the deepest harbour of the island. During the medieval period (especially under the maritime republics of Genoa and Venice), Famagusta was the island's most important port city and a gateway to trade with the ports of the Levant, from where the Silk Road merchants carried their goods to Western Europe. The old walled city and parts of the modern town presently fall within the de facto Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Gazimağusa District, of which it is the capital. It is also notable as the birthplace of the eponymous hero of the Renaissance proto-novel Fortunatus.

The first thing in this restaurant that amaze you, would be the design of eqch section. Everywhere is such a frame for taking a picture. Also great foods. And the staffs are really cool and friendly.
Itâs just two minutes away from the main tourist street but has a lovely quiet courtyard in an old Venetian house. The meatballs and hellim salad were good (no fish) but the main draw is the setting.

This is the first time we have eaten here. Very clean and tidy with friendly and helpful service. We had a massive seafood platter between the four of us with a nice salad and it was more than enough.Everything barring the fried white fish was excellent. Baby squid , mussels, prawns etc all beautifully cooked. If the white fish had been up to that standard they would have a five star review from me.

Attended for lunch. Premises looked smart but quality of food lacking.Starter of hummus which was consumed with salad from a bowl which looked as if it had been there days. Chicken kebabs followed being skewers of chicken which proved barely cooked and boiled rice.My partner had lemonata which tasted of diluted Jiff lemon. The highlight? When the waiter asked us to keep our cutlery to use for mains having been used to taste (a little) hummus..I suggest avoid.

I canât compliment the service enough, Iâm only sorry I didnât ask our waitressâs name as she was so pleasant and helpful.Unfortunately my husband chose a meal he didnât like. She noticed this and although it was his poor choice and he wasnât complaining about the food she brought out a house special dish which smelt wonderful and he did actually enjoy.Give it a try, they have a good selection of fresh fish dishes.
