This lovely restaurant is off the main tourist beat and mainly frequented by locals. The food is good-I had a lovely spinach cannelloni and my partner a good steak. The house red was lovely. Nice ambience, although the staff were flat out on a Friday night.

I think the restaurant has recently been refurbished, and a nice place to go for either a business dinner or more intimate meal with partner. Menu is good, service was professional and friendly, prices - as to be expected at such a restaurant, not cheap but not over priced. food was good, there was a mix up over one of the orders, but staff were apologetic. Would certainly go back

Onverwachts hier terecht gekomen omdat bij andere campings geen horeca (meer) open was. Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst en heerlijk eten en drinken. Leuk personeel en zeker een aanrader om nog eens terug te gaan.

My partner and I went to Fat Alice last night and we can only rave about it! The food here is incredible and very generous for the amount you pay. We left there feeling very happy with this restaurant. Also the manager /owner went out of her way to help book us a taxi back to our hotelâ when we realised the buses no longer ran. It is service like this that makes a evening memorable, thank you so much!

To finish our midweek short trip in Gelderland we chose for De Basiliek because they has a nice offer with Heerlijk.nl.A 5 dish lunch which was enjoyed with an excellent Viognier. All dishes were something special. They first appearance is beautiful. The first taste is nothing special, but when you combine its ingredients it appears that the chef knows what he is doing. Complex taste and beautiful presentation is a trademark for this restaurant. Only point of criticism is that the portions are too small......but do not let you be withhold to go over here, because they may be small but are certainly outstanding at a very reasonable price .... as long as it lasts. ( eur. 39,50)

High quality restaurant!!, I ate a series of four dishes, each one from a different world of tastes. Waitress explained how to eat the dishes properly so the tastes would be in sync, wonderful experience of tastes in the mouth!It could be felt that the ingredients the food were made of are of top notch freshness and quality. The concept is excellent. You get your list of dishes you want and then eat to your hearts content. You get 5 courses of up to 4 dishes each course. We did not get to the 4th course. Thety sat the portions are small but they are certainly bigger than small. Staff very helpful and pleasant. If you are in Ermelo it is a must

Nice location, outdoor seating, rural atmosphere. Staff not friendly. Takes long time to being served. ( several occasions)?No apolgy for mistakes, like forgetting order, not willing to take order for snacks at 11.45, because they didn't serve snacks before12.00.Cold coffee. Rating could easily be so much better if staff would be friendlier, more hospitable .
