Its a nice small " portuguese bistro= tasquinha" The portions are big and the food is nice so the balance between price and quality is fairly good. Don't expect fine or creative touch, We had dinner twice.. the first night we shared the Cataplana de Marisco which is a Seafood feast cooked with tomato garlic, peppers and coriander, a massive pot full of clams, mussels, shrimps and crab... we couldn't finish it, its basically too much. The second day we shared as a main dish called Tella a Joy which is cod fish and octopus cooked in the oven with lots of olive oil and potatoes, again huge although this time we weren´t as convinced as the first day, We were with 2 kids and for them they have also some kids friendly food but our kids loved the clams we ordered as a starter both days. Also nice to have the grilled cheese and the garlic Bread. House wine is extremely cheap and easy to drink. For the 4 of us, we paid around 60 euros both nights.

Restaurant is facing the sea which is already a nice feature if you manage to find a table outside. We had a white fish big enough for two, it was very fresh and tasty, cooked perfectly. Sides were great and fresh too. Service was good as well.Recommending the place, its a local seafood place and not pretending to something that it is not and that is just positive!

The place to go in Ribamar or Ericeira,The freshest shellfish you can imagine, "sapateira" (crab), "lagosta" (lobster),"lavagante" (American lobster), "gambas" (prawns), "percebes" (goose barnacles during its season), "ouriços" (sea urchin during its season), "mexilhão" (mussel), "Ameijoas" (clamshell), you name it they have it. Also the prepared dishes are great, "arroz de marisco" (shellfish rice) is my number one.The staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking nearby is no issue.

This place was recommended to us. Delicious starter of octopus salad, fresh and nicely flavoured. One was plenty to share between two. Unfortunately main courses were less enjoyable. I had the grilled black scabbard on the recommendation of the waiter. I found the texture mushy and it lacked flavour. It also came with mushy vegetables. My partner had the seafood spaghetti which was huge! The seafood was good but the sauce had a strong vinegary flavour. Not a bad meal at all, but it wasnât quite as good as I was expecting unfortunately. Bill for two was 54 euros with a glass of wine and two beers.

A small and cozy space that allows you to taste the varied snacks and dishes that we have at your disposal. In order to improve our concept, we present a wide range of national and local beers as well as some of the largest beer references in the world.
Very good seafood and friendly service. Not expensive at all and we had very good wine for around 10 euros a bottle! Also the gambas (gambas in oil, garlic and coriander) were the best I ever had! We even went another time just to eat the gambas again :)

Been here for lunch. We went for a variety of sea food, cooked and simple - from oysters to king-crab. the seafood was fresh and of high quality. Good wine menu. Desert menu is very simple. Service is ok. At the end, great meal with a very good value for money.

We stopped here based on the high TA rankling, big mistake. Yes, they have fresh shellfish prominently displayed, but if you donât like to crack your own crabs or lobster then youâre out of luck.We chose the seafood pasta for two, priced at 38 euros. It was 90% pasta and 10% seafood, bits and pieces of shrimp, mussels, etc. Bland, watery and insanely overpriced.

Tipical portugues restaurant - Wild Ocean Fish and Certified National Veal
Great and attentive service! There is not a lot of space in that restaurant, but it was very cosy. My spouse was accompanied to the display cabinet, where he could choose the fish (snapper) and was given advise. It was delicious. He was totally thrilled about that dish. Me as a vegetarian had the opportunity to eat the best curry ever! But it is gigantic. They kindly provided me with the recipe. We had a great evening. Thank you.

We had a very pleasant lunch on a Saturday on this nice friendly family-run restaurant, half-hidden in the centre of Ericeira. Good fresh fish choice, well grilled and efficient quick service service. The only reason why I did not rate it at "Very Good" is the fact that the (great) fish comes just with boiled potatoes, no veggies...come on, not even a small piece of green beans, broccoli or cauliflower...how difficult is it to get them on your customers' plates?Very reasonable price too!
