Just a quick stop over on our way to Zewolde, recommended in a sailing book about Holland. We had a lovely lunch on the pavement tables outside the cafe. Excellent service good quality food at a very reasonable price. The meatballs were particularly good. Keep a look out for the flocks of sparrows who sit near patiently waiting for titbits!!Will definitely return on our next trip.

Visited Elburg with a new colleague to have a look round the old town. Since the weather was lovely we sat outside the Zilverzoen. We ordered the "surprise" menu which was lovely. Beautifully prepared and presented if a little UN-surprising. Salmon to start, steak for main and strawberries for desert. Service was good, the waitress was great fun!

We have been here before. But again, quality of the food was very decent. the side dishes are simple, french fries and some vegetable. But main dishes are good. We had a tournedos which was grilled excellent, and a Dutch flat fish called 'tongschar', which was very good too. This is a restaurant where you can also choose just a main dish and eat enough. However, the icecreams are very nice too(:

Lucca is located in a converted warehouse just outside the old fortified city centre of Elburg, overlooking the harbour. The renovated interior has a modern, spacious, yet warm and welcoming feel to it. We had dinner on a Sunday evening after an active day outside. Starters were good: fresh focaccia with olio & aglio, olive oil & balsamic vinegar and tasty home made pesto, and jumbo Cerignola olives. Main course for the kids was pizza, they were nicely done with beautiful crust. But the real treat of the evening were the proper Italian dishes: mouth watering porcini and wild boar risotto. Delicious aubergine with parmesan roast. And my favorite: filetto in a porcini & thyme sauce. Best piece of meat I have had for a long time, straight from heaven! With roast potato, red beets and roast pumpkin on the side. Feeling quite full by this point we still had to try some dessert and we weren't disappointed again, with the tiramisu just right and a beautiful nutella & pistachio dessert topped with delicious hazelnut ice cream. All of this brought to us by fun and friendly servers... What more could you want. Elburg is not around the corner from us, but I'm coming back for another dinner at Lucca!

Chef Pietro D'Andrea was born in Naples in 1963. He came to Holland in 1981, met his wife, felled in love and stayed. In 1994 he started his restaurant at the lovely historical centre of Elburg. In 2017 came Martin back in the service team after 5 years. I
Recently visited this restaurant with my friend. The restaurant has two ding rooms, the main one at the entrance and one at the back. The one at the back is more pleasant, but we ha door place reserved at the entrance. We went for the 3 course menu and for the main meal we had the Pesce Rosso (roodbaarsfilet) and the Pettine di Vitello (kalfsoester). The first one was very good, the latter a little bit chewy. We enjoyed it a lot. The service was great and we even even enjoyed a free Limoncello at the end. We will surely be back again....

We had lunch here on Saturday 11th. Very nice terrace, a proper menu for a lunch, with sulla traditional and some less combination. I've tried the goat cheese with honey and appel/dadels salade, definitely tasty! The typical Uitsmijter also was pretty good. The bread used on both dishes was delicious, especially the full-grain one with walnut. Interior was also quite nice. Eventually, I would replace the toilet wooden floor for something different.. It can be a bit smelly.Overall, a really nice break in town! Thanks for your positive review!(The floor in our toilet however is not of real wood, but of PVC which can be cleaned very good and easily! ;) )

We had a lunch with some friends, it was during the kerst in Elburg event. Very busy, also in the restaurant. Therefore the lunch menu was simple, not too many choices and no special meals. A bit disappointing because we had been before in this restaurant. Service was ok. Will try another time when it is not so busy

Little wonder this great restaurant has such strong reviews as it delivers on pretty well every level.Despite having to recently hire a new chef the standard of food, presentation and overall quality is excellent. The tuna entrée with mekame seaweed, squid ink mayonnaise and avocado cream with langoustine foam was really excellent. For mains we picked filet of bream and the veal cooked two ways - slow and seared, delicious. My mouth watering dessert was raspberries, with raspberry ice cream, raspberry caviar and merangue......perfect.While the menu is entirely in Dutch the staff painstakingly took us through each dish to ensure we understood them before making our choices. The décor and ambience are tasteful, charming and make for a very relaxed evening. The wine list is reasonable and has a good selection of both red and white wines.Recommend it highly and would return anytime.
