It was formed in 1994 out of the Xhosa homelands of Transkei and Ciskei, together with the eastern portion of the Cape Province. Do not miss going to this restaurant.Greeted by the fabulous welcoming Maria. Thank you Maria, you made us feel at home.As for the prawns plus the sauce. Do try them, plus the calamari. You will have never tasted anything like either of these dishes. Sauce Devine.Great music, cute decorated tables, and wine, wine and more wine bulging out of fridges and shelves. Also great pizza, which was too much for me, so it was boxed up and we gave it to the young boy looking after our car in the car park. Do that too.Only downside.. staff very slow.Thank you for the great 5 star review! We appreciate it - I will pass your review onto the manager and owner, to ensure we deliver you the best service possible!Hope to see you again soon! An interesting menu. We chose a combo of Portuguese Chicken (medium strength) and King Prawns, accompanied by boiled potato and spinach and carrots,Comments:The medium strength gave the chicken a subtle bite - I enjoy fairly hot dishes so will order the hot next time. The chicken was succulent and tender. The prawns were delicious - firmer than other prawns I've eaten recentlyShanna and her husband came to chat to us and he explained that they are wild Argentinian prawns, whereas the Queen Prawns are farmed, so it depends on one's preference.A useful tip they gave us is to ask to have eg one sardine or a small piece of cod as a starter rather than as a main first time round as they are Portuguese style and perhaps more of an acquired taste. We took our own wine and paid corkage. Our waitress was pleasant, prompt and helpful. All in all, a special experience for a special occasion.Shanna and her husband

We are situated on left hand side to Diaz Road cut se sac. The building is double story with the restaurant being on the first story. It has three parts to the restaurant. The fine dining inside section. This side will do you well when wanting to impress.
Always liked this restaurant but It's a couple of years since we last dined here. We heard the restaurant had changed and we decided to have dinner with friends. Loved the new look but the 'rickety-looking' entrance staircase was very familiar. The menu looked welcomingly familiar - ribs were the special for the day and we all ordered them. Service was pleasant and efficient. Not sure that the number of ribs added up to the advertised 450 gm, but they were attractively served with three small racks. I really enjoyed the first two racks and all that went with it, but my third rack was terrible. Very overdone with little meat. What meat there was I eventually spat our because I simply couldn't get it down me. Everyone else had a good meal. I let my plate be taken away with a complaint and the waitress quickly returned and asked if I would like a replacement rack - In retrospect I think I should have accepted this and added it to my wife's take-away pack, but I said "No thanks - we have all finished eating". When the bill came I commented that I thought some allowance should have been made for the unsatisfactory ribs - the answer was "Well we offered you a replacement; what do you want?" - my reply was to suggest a voucher for a free glass of house wine with my next meal. (I though this very fair as I would have to return to use the voucher.) This was refused by the manager who hardly looked up from the table where he was eating. The waitress was clearly embarrassed as we left. I don't feel the waitress should have to act as a go-between a dissatisfied customer and management and the incident spoiled an otherwise pleasant evening.Thank you for sharing your concern and opinion, we again apologise that this was your experience. In all fairness though it sounds that we may have been judged before you entered as in your opinion some of our efforts to upgrade since your last visit were still rickety, and not possibly still a working progress, as you seem to have liked all else that have changed, yet still felt familiar. As you have mentioned you ordered the already marked down "special" meal of the day at a mere R99 per person that includes a free glass of wine, hence we only offered to replace what you were not content with as we feel this to be fair approach in an already discounted meal. The waitress checked with me as she should in any such instance and as manager in the corner and owner I recommended this is how we address it, my apologies for not meeting with your personal expectations in further addressing the matter after you kindly declined what was offered and then not making a further fuss as you left, as in our opinion you apologise and then not spoil the rest of your time by making a fuss. Also my apologies for not interrupting my dinner as you left, I however recall saying thank you and goodbye. The waitress acted as instructed, apologized and you kindly declined, does this justify a poor rating and discrediting our hard work, reputation and overall rating on this platform I'm left to ask.Thanking you again for sharing your opinion and concern. Please feel free to contact us directly should you wish to further discuss this.Kind regards.Owner and Management.

Whilst in PE for two nights for work ,we decided to visit Fushin after the previous nights lovely meal at Muse.Read the extensive reviews on TA and thought do many can't be wrong. We decided to order a large variety of shushi dishes from the menu and yes the service was great but I somewhat felt the shushi was mediocre.I've eaten a lot of shushi and having lived in cape Town for the last few years I do enjoy seafood and shushi. This offering from Muse did in my opinion maybe suffice for PE patrons but not to my pallette.Visually executed well...taste not so we'll.

Good for a typical breakfast, friendly staff. Rustic atmosphere, that serves good food. Not sure about the river part, as one would be expecting it to be next to a river or at least have a view. Nice little shop to look around in, in the premises.Dear 716trudisThank you for leaving us a review on your recent experience Graze and we are pleased you enjoyed your breakfast with us. As you said yourself we are not "next to" the river we are "Graze by the River" and we look forward to seeing you again, thank you

We went to the restaurant on the strength of the TripAdvisor reviews. It was pretty full but the service was still good. We went expecting to have fish and chips but on the menu the hake was served with fancy mash, which did not appeal to my good lady. There was a chefs special of pork fillet which appealed to me even though there is always a risk of it being rather dry.I thought that the chefs might be able to dish up a juicy pork fillet. No such luck.Fortunately the dish had a very tasty sauce with mashed potato which were able to disguise the dryness of the pork. I will remember to avoid pork fillets in the future. Those at the other tables appeared to be enjoying their meals so I blame myself for the choice I made.Thank you Ross, unfortunately we cant please everyone, thankfully we please most of our clientele. We serve the fresh hake with mashed potato and fresh vegetables, but if you prefer to have fries, maybe you should simply have asked. The pork is one of our top selling dishes, pitty you did not enjoy it. Next time, maybe speak to us while you are in the restaurant and we will happily oblige.
