This is a cute little place, really clean and good service. It was exciting that they serve soul/southern food, and my absolute favorite things from the south are fried catfish and hush puppies. That's exactly what I ordered. The fish came with a side of hush puppies, fries, and coleslaw. It took a while for us to get our food, but I guess that's a good thing because they cook each meal to order. It was okay because you weren't in a rush or anything and the atmosphere was very comfortable.The food came out and looked so good! It also smelled great. The fish was cooked absolute perfection. Golden brown and crisp on the outside, yet juicy and Flaky on the inside. It was perfectly seasoned, and I could barely stop myself from eating it. The fries were fresh and crisp as well and the coleslaw tasty. The biggest disappointment especially because one of the things I was looking forward to the most, where the hush puppies. I had read her previous reviews saying that they look overcooked but they weren't. So I broke off a piece to eat, but it was so greasy in fact the piece I broke off came off in a whole layer and the grease had soaked all the way through. It was crunchy on the outside, yes, but the oil must not have been hot enough or something because both hush puppies we're soaked almost halfway through with grease. I went ahead and took off the whole outer layer of each hush puppy to try and see what the middle tasted like - pretty much nothing. It was so bland and tasted like no other Hush Puppy I've ever had. Also for a Soul Food place I was surprised they didn't have the Louisiana hot sauce.

Our favorite restaurant, this was the first time my wife ordered and the chef recommend her choice of steaming was not going to be the best, he would do it but didn't recommend it for this type fish [swordfish]. He was right she got blackened and wow. Our server was Roque and he is a very friendly knowledgeable professional guy. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. We go here for the restaurant and it just happens to be at a casino instead of the other way around. You can go to the buffet and get more food for the same price but it comes down to quality or quantity, I choose quality, and we still leave with a doggy bag.Hello and thank you for such a positive review about the Red Wind's Seafood Restaurant. Well if you follow me for food or casino's you know I pick F&C always. We live in the North Seattle so it is about a 1 hr. drive. If I could afford the meal each week I would be there. The trouble is The Grill is located in the Red Wind Casino. Can't get out of there without gambling. This is a small restaurant about 22 booths and tables. Nice fireplace and the service is fabulous. Tuesday special was Prime Rib full meal only $ 15.00. Another must is the Clam Chowder. It comes in a large bowl not a cup. It is thick and full of Clams. Prices are very reasonable. It is worth the road trip. Just prepared to gamble a little.
