Things to do in Duncanville
This place has been in Duncanville for years and I have never seen it get as much as a facelift of the building. I haven't eaten there in quite a while.... in fact, the place scares me.
The catfish is very good. Itâs always fresh and served hot. They give you a hefty serving with good fresh fries. This is a great place to get catfish. I have eaten there three times and itâs consistent.
I haven't been to a long john silver's since I was a little kid and it was not how I remembered. My fish was like rubber from the sea and the fries were a pile of soggy mess. The only thing that was remotely edible was the chowder and even that was sub par. I will not return here that is for sure.
My son and I, in the mood for some good catfish, drove 20 miles out of the way to this one remaining Catfish King in the Dallas area. While not the most pristine of restaurants, the quality of the fish was good and worth the drive, but the hush puppies had a strange quality--like they had some kind of chives or whatever. I was also expecting the stick-type hush puppies since that's what's on the pictures on their menu displays, but these were the round kind. The cole slaw was also a bit underwhelming. So, all in all, I'll hope for a better experience with the sides the next time, but will definitely go back for the fish.

We went here for our grandsonâs 15th birthday. He loves crawfish and this place did not disappoint. We all really enjoyed the different plates we had. The La Bomba appetizer is something I would go just to have it. Nice choice for the adults and the kids.

I went there with my husband and a friend for my birthday tonight. What a terrible experience! I ordered salmon and they were out of salmon. My friend ordered asparagus as a side and they were out of asparagus. I over heard the waitress tell the next table that they were out of the brownie dessert that they tried to order. I think if they are out of so many things, they need to close! I ordered the Bar Harbor Lobster Bake as my second choice, since they didnât have salmon. The seafood was Ok, but really not very flavorful. The linguini with garlic and white wine broth was terrible and had no flavor. I think they must have been out of garlic, too! It was way overpriced and I didnât eat any of the linguini. We will never return to this restaurant, because there are too many other restaurants around to choose from! Shame on you, Red Lobster!

Don't let the stripmall store front of the Dunacanville location fool you. The inside is spacious, the staff is friendly, and the food is awesome. If you enjoy gumbo, crabs, crawfish, shrimp and other southern treats then you'll love Rocking Crab.I visited with 3 others while in Dallas for business. There are numerous combinations to order, as well as add ons. I got #6, which included a cluster of crab legs, shrimp, crawfish with potatos and corn. The meal is delivered in a bag with the contents swimming in seasoning. I got the garlic butter dip. This was fantastic!!!The business was staffed by the owner and her daughter, and they treated us like family. Very friendly.Price was extremely reasonable and we got lucky... they had a 10% off shrimp special and 2 for 1 beers. I recommend that you try this place. My coworkers plan to go back again on this visit and I'm sure we'll be regulars as we visit the Duncanville area regularly.

We went for our anniversary. The ambience is cozy, but the chairs are not comfortable - at least not where we were seated. It took several minutes for someone to come bring menus and offer beverages. The food was average. Nice size portions though! Our server did check on us several times so that's to their credit. The chef came out and asked how the meal was so that is also to their credit. I don't know that we would return, but we'd wanted to try it for some time.

Convivial chain dishing up hearty portions of New Orleans-style seafood, steaks, salads & more.
The restaurant food was great but our server was weak/unprofessional.Seated quickly and server came over and introduced himself and took drink orders and we ordered a alligator app.Like I stated the food was great - Pasta Mardi Gras and a fish dish. After we ate the PM asked for a drink to go and the server said Iâll go get it only to never return and walked by us 3 times with other drink orders for other tables, as a employer I know itâs not the restaurantâs fault for all the employees actions or non actions.
