The restaurant is a popular family restaurant, but I doubt that this is because of the quality of the food. It is a simple restaurant with simple dishes. So if you have a number of mouths to feed this might be a good restaurant. You have a complete meal for a very reasonable price. I guess the restaurant is popular because it is specialized in fish in the old fishing town of Termunten. The service is also limited. Most waitresses are students who just want to make some money. The fish was OK, same as the salad, but I could see in the open kitchen that the potatoes were backed on the same plate as the fish. This could explain the very strange tasteâ¦

We went here over the weekend while visiting a friend outside of Groningen. She went here a long time ago and remembered it, so we all went there. The food was VERY good! We went there without a reservation and they still had a table for us. Within 30 minutes, almost the entire place was full! We were so lucky to get a table. We found out that our table was double booked, so our services was a little faster than normal (No complain here).Everything was very good. The meals were displayed very nice, the food tasted delicious and the server was very nice and helped explain what some of the items were on the menu were. The only negative thing I have to say about the place, is it was VERY hot in the building. I have a feeling the combination of all the people and no windows/doors open, we were sweating. So I am marking off for only that. Everything else was perfect! Photos included also!

The lunch menu here is not extensive but the food delicious, well prepared and presented. The soup was smooth and tasty and the rolls generously filled. The room was sumptuous with high ceilings, a warm cosy log fire, interesting architecture and stained glass windows. The service was friendly and efficient. All in all an excellent lunch.

At dinner time we unexpectedly found ourselves in Delfzijl, without having researched restaurants beforehand. After seeing only bars, a pizzeria, and krokett shops, we stumbled on De Kakebrug with a board outside advertising a sliptong (sole) special for 18 euros. We were the only customers on this rainy Wednesday night, but the chef/owner and the waiter treated us like honored guests. The sole was fresh, crispy, and delicious. Sides of asparagus, salad, frites, and fried potatoes were perfectly cooked. This was a gem of a restaurant and a culinary treat.

We spent a few evenings in Delfzijl and found this little Italian eatery on tripadvisor. So let's try it out & we were not disappointed, as the staff were very friendly. The pasta had nice flavours & the bottle of Italian wine went well with our dinners. We would tell anyone visiting this town, if need a pasta meal go & enjoy!

Good place to stay if you're travelling to the "end of the world", Delfzjil. 5' walking far from the Delfzjil station15' far from the port of Eemshaven, 1h from Groningen. Good restaurant too.If you prefer double bed, choose the Suite (not the double bedroom); it has also a better and larger bathroom.

We have returned for a follow up visit to this nice restaurant over looking the ocean. My parents & other family members came with us. The food was served in fine fashion and the staff were very efficent. I have always found it interesting that the vegetables are served seperately to the main entrees. The chef came out to greet us & asked if we need any additonal veggies.

We visited the restaurant during Delfsail with a large group. We had made a reservating and our time was limited, so we had informed the restaurant on forehand. We received our starter, maincourse and dessert right on time. So we had a pleasant dinner and finished in time. Presentation and quality of our food was quite good and the the restaurant has a very pleasant interior.
