We were strolling the beach and happened across Bennys. What a surprise to find such a wonderful place with good food and a wonderful staff. We spend a few hours speaking with Benardo and his wife. What a pleasure it was, he is engaging, full of stories and a great host.The restaurant is right on the beach and has a great menu. If you are taking a break on the Pacific coast of Panama, this is a gathering place for locals and visitors alike.Traverlers note: This is a great place to cool your feet from the very hot black sand on the beach. You will come for a quick respite and stay for a good time.When we last visited, there was a holiday celebration with the local school teachers. What a fun day meeting new people and having a great time

Un buen lugar para comerce un ceviche de pescado, concha negra o camarones. Los huevos de codornis también son buenos. Todo con una buena cerveza bien fria.

I can't say enough about this restaurant. Very comfortable seating, lots of room, friendly waiters... But the emphasis smartly is on the food... I don't know how they do it but the sauces, the presentation, the freshness is hands down 500% better than anyone else serving seafood in David. Hey others, take note, come here and spend some money on a good meal then go back and improve yourselves!!!

Actually they just opened up another location on the interamericana... I need to find a way to enter that location and review it as I like it even better than the original location! This place is perfect for kids also, the best freshest seafood and prices that do not break the bank!! Thanks to Marcos, the owner...

We ate at Mar Caribe on 6/7 midafternoon for an early dinner. We had a whole lightly fried red snapper and a baked filet of fish (I think it was sea bass). The fish was perfectly cooked and served with potatoes and veggies. The potatoes were boiled and served with butter and herbs. Everything was excellent, and the portions were generous. The total was $30 for two entrees, two beers, and a desert milkshake (we asked for a custom concoction of all fruits mixed together- ironically the milkshake cost the same as 4 beers!). Mar Caribe has free wifi too. Code MARCARIBE30 (all CAPS required), and it was pretty fast for Panama standards. The staff was the most attentive and fastest of any restaurants we ate at in Panama.Mar Caribe is super close to the airport in David. As you exit the airport, turn right, drive about 1/2 kilometer, and it's on the right.

This Peruvian cuising is the absolutely best fish restaurant in David.The dishes are fantastic and the restaurant itself cosy.

This restaurant is located in Pedregal near the port of David. It was recommended by people working for the Maritime Authority as a good lunch spot. They were right, the seafood is fresh, preparations very typical of this part of Panama and costs are reasonable.I would recommend giving it a try

It has probably been more than a year since I have had a lobster dinner in Panama. This restaurant has had consistent good seafood over the past couple of years of my visiting. I selected the lobster dinner, steamed vegetables and a salad, The lobster and vegetables were served hot, (sometimes a luxury in Panama) and the beer was cold.

We don't know what the names are but both of our meals were wonderful. My wife had steak (cooked perfectly) topped with shellfish with a marinade. I had a steak (also perfectly cooked) with shrimp and longostinas in a delicious gravy sauce. We topped this off with pisco sours. Perfect dinner for my wife's birthday.
