Plank is a coastally-inspired oyster bar and seafood grill in Omaha, Nebraska. Thoughtful service, notable flavors, and social moments found here.
Met up with a buddy, who loves this place, for Happy Hour since it was right down from the street. Outside of the sushi restaurants, there wasn't a lot of raw fish options and the Happy Hour prices are reasonable. Ordered the shrimp and mussels, along with different oysters. At under $2/oyster, it's a really good deal considering it's in Nebraska versus the coast. Buddy also enjoyed the gumbo. Most of the mixed drink specials were about $6/each, so very reasonable.

A real "locals" place, great for fish. Had the walleye and clams. Walleye was perfect - very light breading, not greasy at all, big portion (had the Friday night special). Friend had the clams, large clams, not those little strips, again, no grease. Coleslaw and baked beans sides were great. Don't come expecting anything fancy, just good fried fish. Also has chicken and frog legs, haven't tried these. Mid-level pricing.

My wife and I had a great visit for supper, We had a shrimp selection with Alfredo sauce on noodles and a small steak, medium well done. We were both very pleased with our meals. Our appetizer, loaded fries for $3.99, was excellent. It consisted of regular fries and and small breaded "fish fries both in top of and covered by a bowl of cheese, Incredible value for $3.99. We had not been to a Red Lobster for a couple years and found the "new" appetizer/starter menu to be excellent. Both the host and waitress were excellent. I had been out walking all day and consumed 5 glasses of water. The waitress refilling my glass kept pace with how thirsty I was.

Live music Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights!
Iâve eaten all over Louisiana so had high hopes for this restaurant. The etouffe and jambalaya were very spicy but lacked flavor. The fried oysters had been fried once before when they seemed to be refried and served again to me. The hush puppies were good. Some at our table got fresh bread with a nice spicy butter but we had to ask for some at our end of the table. The service was ok. They had a nice selection of local beers. I would try other restaurants in the area.
