The Cracking Crab is a beach chic seaside restaurant with the best view of the surf in Polzeath and serving everything from breakfast butties to seafood platters and all the bits in between. Open for open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, teas, coffees and pl
Had a lovely lunch in the Cracking crab with friends. Crab salad for two of them, scallops for another and just prawns for me. All were good quality and tasty apart from the fries which were anaemic and cold! Presentation was good and service fairly prompt apart from my prawns which turned up 10 mins after everyone else's meal! Pleasant views though only average for Cornwall. The restaurant felt a little cliquey - not sure why and this is down to the customers not the restaurant owners. There was just than strange atmosphere that you get when people seem to think they own the place! Funnily I had noticed this but said nothing but my friend commented on it.

The Rock Inn is an elevated 1st floor pub/restaurant with panoramic views of Padstow and the Camel Estuary. We offer food all day, starting with Breakfast until noon. Lunch from 12.00 Until 6.00 Pm. Evening meals are served from 6.00 Pm until 9.00 Pm. Boo
Arrived and stood waiting to be seated, 3 barmaids/waitresses standing chatting. Eventually one came over and we asked if it was ok to just have drinks and she said sure just take a seat and we will come and take your order. The room wasn't even a third full and we took a seat and after ten minutes we got up and left as the three ladies were still chatting and laughing at the bar. We remember it as the Upper Deck and had some lovely memories of those times. This however was not one of them

Too many servers, inefficient organization getting in the way of the food. Servers were nice, but it is unacceptable to me to have to speak to 7 different persons. The food was very good, ate a plate of fruits de mer for two with a bottle of champagne. Nice choice of wine. For this quality of food and price, the service must be improved, not the servers.

We had an evening meal here, no need to book, but because we didnât we missed out on the fabulous view. Pucelliâs is a first floor restaurant right on Padstowâs beautiful harbour, when itâs warm enough the full length windows are folded back, so a window table just adds to the experience. Our food was served quickly, was freshly cooked and was of high quality. The waiters were friendly and helpful, happy to chat which we always find a nice touch. We would have no hesitation in recommending Pucelliâs as a great place to eat.

A 10 minute walk from the main Polzeath beach the Mowhay cafe is a daytime cafe which becomes an excellent restaurant in the evening. The daytime food and drinks are fine, but the evening menu is something else. The starters are interesting with reasonable portions and the main courses are just great. My son and I both chose the fish curry, the flavour of which knocked spots of most Indian restaurants. Many places let standards slip when it comes to desserts, falling back on catering pack or ice cream. Mowhay desserts are made in the kitchen to order, and are a type and quality rarely seen. The service is capable and friendly, and the bill is reasonable given the quality of the meal. Our visits were a highlight of our week in Polzeath.

With fresh fish landed right here on our doorstep, our café creates simple seafood dishes with imaginative flavours. Our menu changes daily with influences from afar including dishes such as pad Thai noodles, salt and pepper prawns and cod curry. Breakfas
Took my friend who I trained as a cook with 40 years ago! I was apprehensive but there was no need. Good food with great service from a Polish manager. Luckily it was a Monday so half empty and so we got a table easily. What a treat at a good price.

A little piece of gourmet heaven on the north Cornish coast. With stunning views out over the Atlantic, Constantine aims to deliver quality local seafood, meat and produce fresh to your plate. Sit back, relax and enjoy the sights of local fishermen workin
First things first. The view from the terrace across the course and out towards the setting sun are simply breathtaking. Definitely worth a visit to enjoy a drink and a sublime sunset - but take something warm to wear as it's often breezy and very cold.Sadly, our food came nowhere near the level of expectation that the setting and the price-level established. From little things...such as balsamic glaze being used in place of vinegar in the oil and vinegar dip, and served in a ramekin (so that bread emerged drenched in oil and with a too-sweet molecule of balsamic clinging to it).To more serious issues...crispy beef with no crispiness whatsoever; plaice dish lacking in flavour; and astonishingly even staples such as fish and chips and bacon and cheese chicken burger lacking flavour and seasoning. How is this even possible?!On the plus side, the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc was excellent (though they tend to be a safe bet these days wherever you go). We'd lost all confidence by the time we'd struggled through our main course so opted to call a halt, but the two who did really enjoyed their Eton Mess.If you've read this far - do please give me an encouraging Thumbs Up helpful vote! Many thanks, Foodandkindness

Opened by Rick Stein and Jill Stein in 1975, The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow is famous for establishing an international reputation for the very freshest fish and shellfish, often landed on our doorstep. Head chef, Stephane Delourme and his team create
Rick Stein's eponymous Seafood Restaurant in Padstow, North Cornwall sets a standard for fine cuisine, attentive knowledgeable service, and unpretentious atmosphere. Let me start with the surroundings. The restaurant is located near the harbor in the picturesque town of Padstow, hard by the Camel River estuary. The dining room is decorated with an eclectic assortment of contemporary art work; if you are interested, your server will gladly provide you with a coffee table book identifying the various artists and briefly introducing each work. The service was friendly, attentive, and unobtrusive. My wife and I enjoyed seats at the bar which provided an opportunity to engage our waiter in conversation throughout our meal; but he never intruded. Despite a full house, everyone on staff made a genuine effort to make us feel like we were the most important people in the restaurant.Believe it or not, the quality of the food exceeded the excellent service and the ambiance. The menu is creative, but not overwhelming. All major ingredients are locally sourced. Consequently, the seafood is as fresh as any I have ever encountered, including in the best restaurants along Florida's Gulf Coast. My Wife enjoyed a crab linguine starter followed by grilled Cornish sea bass. For me it was Cornish crab with kale and wasabi mayonnaise followed by baked red mullet stuffed with white crab. Decaf tea and a delicious creamy cheesecake provided an appropriate finish to an excellent dining experience.Reservations are required. Coats and ties are not.

Enjoyed several dishes, each were excellent, my favourite being the red mullet. So many layers of flavour and to think this is all achieved in such a tiny kitchen!

The Olive Tree in St Merryn opens for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday from 6.30pm). Our food is largely influenced by Mediterranean cuisine and, indeed, anywhere you might find olive trees growing. We focus on making the most of the wonderful fresh produc
