I guess from my travels I thought the food would be more like I have had in my travels to Peru. It was similar, but without much flavor. My daughter had the steak dish and it was a little tough. I had the rice with eggs and it was OK. I want to try it again, but to try other dishes. I thought the glass of wine a bit expensive.

New Lim's is our go-to place for traditional and familiar Chinese food. The Hong Kong style noodles, war won ton soup, deep-fried oysters, honey/walnut prawns, clams in black bean sauce, and many more are reliable satisfying dishes. The service is pretty good, even on busy nights. And they do a booming take-out business.

We ordered a couple of appetizers which included octopus and the clam chowder. Both were excellent. Bread served was also very good...toasty crust and soft interior sour dough. However, the entrees were just ok. My wife had a soft shell crab sandwich which was far too small for the bread it accompanied. I ordered the fish and chips and it was good, nothing more. Should have ordered the king salmon. Oh well. Service was fine, nothing special. Would go back.

The restaurant was not busy, the counter help was excellent and helpful, but the food took forever to be ready. We waited 45 minutes before the buzzer let us know the food was ready. The food was room temperature (which means cold, as the restaurant was really cold inside). Others sitting near us overheard that our food was cold and indicated they had waited a long time before their cold food was ready for pickup.I emailed the company about our experience almost a month ago and have not heard a word back from them. I was hoping for an explanation. I guess they don't care about a customers experience, therefore I'm posting this review.
