The five stars are given purely from the point of the food! The food was beautifully done! We had the mussels, lobster and the fish tacos. All delicious and probably the best food you can find around! Service does need improvement though as we waited almost an hour for our food and felt ignored when we first entered.

We had lunch here on our way around the Cabot Trail. My wife had a lobster and she loved it. I had the Bayside Fettuccine which was huge and delicious but I started with the chowder which was not very good. Excellent service from Diane made it a very pleasant experience. We would come back.

This clean, bright seafood restaurant is right on the Cabot Trail in Cheticamp. They have their own lobster pound and also sell fresh and frozen seafood. Everything we ordered was fresh and cooked perfectly. Make sure to try the very unique potato salad. It's prepared as a mashed potato salad and I couldn't stop eating it...it's addictive. I'm glad the portion was large.

Fun music while you eat. Dance if you like, reasonable bar prices and some pretty decent food. Small slot parlor in the back.
