One of Cedar Key's dining establishments on Dock Street, a U-shaped street/pier jutting out into the Gulf of Mexico. We sat on their mosquito-netted patio looking over the Gulf breezes. Service was as congenial as the setting and the food was perfect. The restaurant's decoration looks as if it has been in place since, well, forever, but that lends an air of originality and (southern) charm.

Robinson's Seafood is a favorite with local residents as well as visitors. We had dinner there our last night in Cedar Key and I am really happy we did! It isn't a fancy restaurant, but there isn't a need for decor when the food is SO good! I got the "all you can eat" shrimp and seabags dinner, along with their homemade clam chowder. WoW! The batter they use for the fried fish is light and doesn't overwhelm the flavor of the fish. The clam chowder is the best in the area, as far as I am concerned. The young lady that waited on us was very personable and that added to our enjoyment of the meal. PLEASE make a point to stop here on your trip! also, you can buy fresh fish that was caught that day, and if I had know that we would have made it a point to go there to buy some to fix at the condo. The red snapper looked great!!!

The food here is delicious. Sometimes the waits from the kitchen are long and the waitresses can be slow...but you are in Cedar Key!! Kick back, enjoy the view and get ready for the best BLT, seafood, and tacos you will find in CK.

We stopped and had a beer, didn't bother with food as the place wasn't very clean. The beer was cold and the server was polite, but wouldn't rush back.

Nice hotel with much history. Quiet and comfortable. Bathroom a bit of a challenge (I don't know how someone larger would be able to shower or use the WC), actually shower is not so great.Dinner was really good! clams perfect, the palm salad could have used more palms... fish entree cooked well. Drink selection at bar very good. Would recommend staying here it's a nice diversion from the in your face tech hotels that seem to be springing up everywhere.

We ate here twice for a our week long stay. My husband and I had the broiled shrimp and it was excellent. The sides were great and they have a good selection. One night we had the key lime pie and it was really good. Customer service was really good and our food came out quickly. We eat here each time we come to Cedar Key. We find ourselves talking about Steamers weeks before we even get here.

I also tried a cup of the chowder... WOW!! Weâve spent a lot of time on the north east coast of the US and Canada and I can honestly say this is the best chowder Iâve even had ... worth the visit !!
