Have made a few visits to the restaurant over a couple of years. The quality of food has always been of a high standard reflecting regional Italian cuisine. To our delight the restaurant offers a takeaway service, with a young family this is very helpful. The desert looked particularly appetising!

Ate here late at night and the staff could not speak English but managed to order for 8 people and got most of it right. Good pizza but very basic restaurant. Cost was very reasonable. Definitely no taxi service from here as it is out of the way.

I have eaten here multiple times while in town on business. It has a nice selection of authentic fare for lunch and dinner. It's run by a family that is always present, working at the restaurant and makes you feel welcome! The food is very good, fresh, and nicely presented. Excellent selection of wines to accompany your meal. Decor is lovely too. You can see the wood fired pizza oven from the dining area which just adds to the charm.

Servizio confusionario e poco attento.Locale bello, curato esteticamente.

My wife and were traveling with our two boys (men) to see where our families originate back in the 'homeland'. Our first restaurant stop was Il Borgo. Our meal in one of the local restaurants here in Pontecorvo, was as special as it gets. The scene is you have an English only speaking group (although my son Joe helped out a great deal with his language abilities) goes into a local restaurant (small, down an alley and out of the way kind of place) where no one in the restaurant speaks English -- Only Italian. But, as we discovered over the next two hours or so (maybe a tad longer) was that we all could talk "food"!! The chef cam out and with his right hand lady who worked the from of the house and the four of us waiving our hands, yakking sometimes at the same time, we came up with a plan. My oldest son had a plate of grilled meats, Lorraine had ravioli stuffed with eggplant and buffalo mozzarella made with a fresh tomato sauce, my youngest son had linguini (all past homemade/handmade) with sausage, truffles, fresh tomatoes, and I decided to have spaghetti all matriciana. The desserts were tiramisu and Pana Cotta. See the pics. This is where the fun really started. The chef brings out his private stock of after dinner drinks, that leads to a discussion about homemade liqueurs which my son and I also make. So after two bottles of red wine and some white for my wife, we start on the liquors (the woman gives us a bowl of sweet Taralli. we share recipes! A fun and exquisite couple of hours. The people, the service the food, the atmosphere was so very special.

Great place to eat in when visiting the area or even just passing on the A1. Fantastic food and tremendous service. A very good mix of fish and meat, beautifully presented, and reasonably priced.

We arrived in the afternoon after flying in from the US, and were received very warmly by Annamaria, who served us a lovely light lunch. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the setting on the hillside, surrounded by gardens and looking at the old town is wonderful. It's a perfect place for any kind of event, as well as just a relaxing stay. We had a fantastic dinner, with great local wine, and the breakfast in the morning is unmatched!
