The lifesize wooden ship inside the restaurant first put me off as being a silly tourist trap but this is actaully a nice place with friendly service and food prepared with fresh ingredients and by competent chefs. And not too pompous nor too casual. Also suitable for families. The one weakness might be the winelist that is made up of industrial wineries although none of these are bad wines.Thank you so very much for your appreciation of our restaurant, food and service. Enjoyed a superb fish meal at this excellent restaurant that has superb 180 degree views of the harbour & sea area. Outstanding cod and terrific service team. Really great and attentive service would definitely recommend. Pretty poor weather outside but the welcome inside was warm enough. Attractively decorated beach cafe/restaurant with very clean staff. Not busy today, probably because of the weather. Service was fast and willingly but a bit pushy, probably because they were bored. Food order was attractively presented and very tasty. Must try again on a better day weather wise!

No direct critique on my last visit to Jasmin Garden, but more in general. Has the quality of Chinese/Indonesian food gone down significantly over the last decade or so? It's been a while since I've ordered an "Indonesian/Chinese rijsttafel". In this particular instance one for 4 people. I felt bad for my relatives who payed for it. It was like walking down a supermarket aisle. Price the same, but less in the package or, in our case less dishes on the table. As to Jasmin Garden, food quality was good (+), taste (+/-), plate options (-)Overall "average", no matter the ambiance or the (sometimes too cozy informal) attitude of the staff.

Ask for a table near the window overlooking the beach. I was not too impressed by what I ordered, the sate, and should have ordered a burger, something my companions were raving about. Either way, service was good, albeit a bit slow (or they left us alone in our conversation). Restaurant looked very modern and clean. I guess prices were right for the location. All in all we had a great time.

Since we know this place is very nice, good location, friendly staff and great food we decided to take my mom here after we visited the Zaanse Schans. She really enjoyed this place and the food. It made our day out just perfect.

This is hospitality perfection. A dedicated chef and a dedicated host and their team.Great food combined with great wines.Fantastic starter with goose liver, perfect intermediate course of codd with risotto of "Alkmaarse" groats and a perfect maincourse of fillet of lamb.Never a (culinairy) dull moment.
