Had a wonderful lunch on a warm autumn day on the main square Piazza del Popolo.Mr. Berardo, the owner, suggested some freshly prepared dishes and we had a very good lunch with some fried stuffed olives (olive allâascolana), fried pecorino cheese, followed by home made ravioli stuffed with ricotta and a creamy truffles sauce , some chicken and a tuna âtagliataâ.Everything was fresh and tasting good and we were suggested some good local wine to be paired to the food.Dicaduca is for sure the best choice in the center of Ascoli Piceno.

One of the Oldest and Tipical Italian Restaurant since 1937 in the very city centre of Ascoli Piceno.
Looked nice and I excitedly ordered the tasting menu. The sweet waitress took the order without demur. After consulting amongst themselves, the rather sinister looking male waiters said the tasting menu was for a minimum of two but that I could recreate it for double the price! Maybe they didnât like a 26e steal deal going to a foreigner (albeit bilingual). I asked them to reconsider but they wouldnât. I said I was unhappy and got up to leave. They tried to charge me for the water which I hadnât touched. They didnât try to persuade me not to go. So one of their 2 English language reviews this year will be damning. And beautiful Ascoli Piceno which is desperately short of quality foreign tourists. Well done guys, this is called winning the game of life -not ! In bocca al lupo.

In un passaggio di lavoro, mi sono fermato nell'Hotel e ho cenato nel ristorante pizzeria. Ambiente informale, servizio cordiale, ottima grigliata di carne con arrosticini e birra fantastica. Bel menù pizzeria che proverò sicuramente alla prossima occasione. Per una cena senza troppi8 fronzoli, con un corretto rapporto qualità prezzo, lo consiglio vivamente.

Sorpresa! Alcuni amici locali mi hanno indicato questo locale tra la S.S.Salaria e la provinciale per Offida,che io non ho mai notato in quanto l'aspetto dall'esterno è abbastanza anonimo.Siamo entrati ed abbiamo visto che si compone di due locali:uno dedicato all'apericena,diventata qui un cult per le numerose (e vocianti) comitive di giovani.Non essendo solo bollicine,come dal nome,abbiamo optato per la più tranquilla sala da pranzo per un'ottima cena tutto mare (San Benedetto è alla fine della Salaria)e...sorpresa (di nuovo):nonostante il posto sulla statale,in provincia,con piccoli paesini nei dintorni,il pesce era proprio buono,odorava e sapeva di mare,e il tipo di cucina,semplice e naturale ne conserva la freschezza e qualità .Noi abbiamo optato per un solo ordine:antipasti caldi di pesce.Una lunga serie di piattini con tutto il miglio pescato della costa,ottimo ed abbondante visto che è finito il periodo del fermo pesca.I vini ovviamente bianchi e della zona,ma anche della regione ed oltre.Servizio ottimo effettuato da simpatiche ragazze.Prezzi non eccessivi,nonostante il tutto pesce.
