Well known since 1984, it is the good place to taste italian fish cuisine, traditional tuscan recipes and good meats. The wine cellar follows the commitment to excellence with Bolgheri and Tuscany wines, Champagnes and sparkling Wines, and a good selection
We noted this restaurant because of its mention in the Michelin Guide. We drove to Cecina, parked in a nearby street and walked in on a Sunday lunchtime hoping for a table without a booking. We were lucky - this restaurant should have been full, but it was not and we were given a table. We were greeted by the proprietor and his wife was our chef and also came out to our table to take our order, answer questions and check all was fine. What a lovely welcome! We tasted delicious antipasti, primi and secondi - all fish and seafood and all beautifully cooked and presented. I enjoyed two dishes with fresh truffles, which felt like a real treat! There was raw seafood as well as cooked. The cooking was confident and I felt I would gladly eat anything prepared by this kitchen. We even managed dessert and, upon choosing a homemade green apple sorbet, I was offered the option to have this with calvados and it was a delicious pairing I had not tried before. We ate with our children who were very much welcomed. We enjoyed our meal so much we returned just two days later to eat there again. Our bills came to around £130 and £150, which included a bottle of house wine on each visit, several bottles of water and also coffees. I felt this restaurant deserves recognition and many customers - we loved it and would happily return.Thank you for these wonderful worlds we are happy to read your appreciation for food and accommodation. We hope you'llcome again Arrivederci dalla Toscana!Gianluca e Rossella

Local typical Tuscan with large panoramic terrace
Whilst staying in a nearby Agriturismo we found this hidden little gem of a restaurant in Riparbella, we were seated outside on the terrace and had an excellent meal. Everything we eat was top quality especially the home made pasta. All at a very reasonable price.

We have dined here previously and decided to have our final meal here before the end of our holiday. We took a table on the patio outside which is a very pleasant eating area. There are no menus and the waiter tells you what is available. We ordered calamari fritti as a starter to share whilst our main courses were being prepared. For mains we had spaghetti vongole, tagliata and Paparelli con ragù, all were very tasty and the reason we haven't given 5 stars is because there were 2 types of ragù, one with cinghiale and one with Beef and we asked for one of each but the waiter said we had to order 2 the same. All in all lovely, efficient and friendly waiter and Paula the owner is an excellent chef and Hostess. We will be back as it was also very reasonably priced.

this restaurant is part of the Camping Valle Gaia complex. we had two really good meals including their featured Tuscan evening. Well cooked and presented by courteous staff and a good selection of wines. If your in the area this is a nice place for a relaxing meal.

We expected a smaller restaurant but it is close to te enterance and reception of a touristic residence. So we heard a lot of Dutch and German talking. Its a busy family restaurant. The food was good and the price was ok. Good red housewine.

I discovered this place two years ago as I stayed at la Pieve vecchia hotel for a couple of days and have been coming back since. The food is fresh and cheap and service is very good. The head waiter is an especially kind and beautiful person. What is more it is a magnificent setting and kids can play on the swings and enjoy their time while waiting for the food

Called here today for lunch, we were guided onto the outside terrace with spectacular views. Plenty of choice and we were not disappointed. We shared an antipasto di terrà which was very good then I opted for penne agli scampi and 2 delicious steaks cooked to perfection. The owner who served us was very welcoming and her husband who is the chef prepared exceptional food, we will be back in August.

Forapaglia is so special to our family that we come back here in summer every year to enjoy the food, the hospitality, the warm en friendly ' green-garden' quality atmosphere and the stunning sea- and ' tuscan' view from the terrace on the balcony. The menu has various possibilities, including ' easy food' for kids. The owner and staff are very friendly, let them advice you on the wine. With good weather conditions, be sure to make a reservation on the balcony in advance. Inside the restaurant has a special atmosphere as well. Enjoy.

Popular place amongst tourist and the menu is clearly tailored to this audience with some interesting non-Italian influences. If you are looking for an authentic culinary experience and typical Italian atmosphere you are probably better off elsewhere however the food and service is ok and prices are low so for a quick bite to eat this place is fine.
