Sly we had some disappointing meals in France this time. Thankfully we found Le Banane in Palavas le flots. Bit hard to find, but try to as it is worth it. Great food and excellent service.

This is a restaurant only open in summer and an all time favorite! They are known for the delicious mussels either marinieres or persillade (garlic and parsley) personally my choice!!!Homemade French fries !!!Fresh grilled sardines and other fish choicesYou are seated in the backyard of a Villa surrounded by plants, trees Big aquariumThis year they have added Mojitos! The food is delicious in this family owned restaurant but to be honest the service can be long... The price to pay for everything fresh So just sit back and relax You can only pay by check or cash they do not take credit cards

Finally we had a good tasting honest meal in the area. This place stands out in the taste and quality of the food and nice presentation to boot. We were nine and all of were happy. Efficient service, although limited English, none the less we understood each other. Good raw plate excellent swordfish and really nice scallops with chrorizo. You feel feel inside the restaurant and you will feel good afterwards.Good value too.Glad we went

The waitress was the only one in the whole place and serving around 15 tables. It took over 20 mins to get a menu! The food is very good but don't go if you are in a rush..

We stopped for lunch before dropping a relative at the airport. By way of background, we are British and out of respect, I try to speak French when I am in France, which is of reasonable standard. However the waitress we had was unbelievably rude as when we started ordering, she interrupted to say there was no apple syrup drink on the menu (there is, which was shown to her), and then half way through ordering the food, she just walked off and sent another waitress to start again. I asked what the problem was and this other lady said I just had to order again from the start. The first waitress (who was in charge of the outside area) then made sure to ignore us for the rest of the meal so we struggled to get dessert and replacement drinks etc. Despite the place having crepes written all over the signs, we were told there were no crepes, and the service was slow beyond all measure - not helped by the waitress deliberately ignoring us. What I will say is that the chicken and chips (kids meal) was absolutely delicious and itâs a lovely location. Just a shame that this one employee was so rude.

My family and I had limited time to have supper before dropping someone off at the airport. We hit the marina in Carnon at 7pm and were confronted with dozens of restaurants. Le Bastidon looked good, with wrought iron chairs and tables and banquettes, so we decided to give it a try. The waitress was very welcoming and asked when we needed to leave by. She was fantastic, efficient, attentive, really nice and took our orders immediately. The food was beautifully presented and very good, the swordfish and tuna cooked to perfection, and the seafood tagliatelle was excellent too and lots of it. My normally fussy daughter pronounced the burger âperfectâ. My other vegetarian daughter was equally happy with the goatâs cheese salad. The price was really reasonable and we were finished in good time to catch the flight. We highly recommend this restaurant.
