I went to Hankâs for lunch and my timing was perfect cause it ended up being the beginning of happy hour. The happy hour menu to me was just enough and the prices was just right. The oysters was fresh. I definitely will be coming back the restaurant.

Took the family here for dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday. We had reservations and arrived 15 minutes early and were seated right away. The waiter was very nice and explained everything about the menu and the specials. My wife had the stone crabs and really enjoyed them. I had the 16oz porter and it was great very juicy, flavorful, and was a good medium cook. I also highly recommend the Boston Cream pie for dessert. Although it was a very expensive meal, everyone enjoyed it and thought it was worth the price.

Prior to our holiday I booked the Old Ebbitt Grill for our last night in Washington. It was a great choice and we sure ended our trip on a high. We shared the autumn salad for starters, then crab cakes for me and filet mignon, perfectly cooked, for hubby. Both were fantastic if somewhat cooler than we would have liked (I suspect both dishes sat in the kitchen for a time before being brought to the table). Dessert was a to-die-for chocolate chip bread pudding and was definitely the highlight of the meal. Competitively priced wine and two cappuccinos helped wash it all down. The bill came to $113 which we felt was fair given the quality of the food and the wonderful atmosphere. Just hope the food is hotter next time:-)
